This app is a wonderful little helper for someone like me who can never remember the dang shortcuts for the type of screenshot I want to take. However, there is a fundamental flaw that makes the app unusable: the dock icon cannot be hidden. Any time an application functions as a menu bar utility, it *must* provide the option to hide the dock icon. Otherwise that dock icon clutters up the application switcher, making it more difficult to switch between apps.

@magnuson thanks I appreciate the feedback and I also just pushed a new version that hides the dock icon :)

I love the idea of a mac app that does full page screen shots - been using one on Chrome for awhile, but wouldn't help w/ other apps for which I need screnshots. Main gripe after downloading the app is that I can't hide the dock icon. Might seem unimportant, but this is a big deal to me. Can't stand having unneeded apps showing up in my app switcher.

@gioismeyo thanks for the info and for sure I will send a new update to hide the dock icon as you suggested !

Hey guys how are you doing ! I am the founder and creator of "PScreen" which I developed in my own time as part of a new startup company called "Apps Fab". A convenient way to take screenshots and now available as a menu bar application. This initial release is fully supported with macOS High Sierra and includes the following features: 1. Full Screenshot option to take screenshots of the entire screen. 2. Window Screenshot” option to take screenshots of specific windows. 3. Area Screenshot” option to take screenshots of specific areas on the screen. 4. Clipboard support allowing you to paste images to any of your rich content applications such as Mail, Notes, and others. 5. Includes 4 different screenshot image types including png, jpg, tiff, and pdf that can be set under preferences. 6. Play sounds during screenshots can be toggle on and off in preferences. 7. Show screenshots preview can also be toggle on and off in preferences. That's all I have for upcoming features and I hope to hear a lot from you. Thanks Dilmer Valecillos

While I appreciate the work you've put into building this app. macOS already have shortcuts to do all of this (Cmd Shift 3 for fullscreen, Cmd Shift 4 for area, Cmd Shift 4 Space for window and add Ctrl to save it to Clipboard). So I imagine that I'd have limited use for a menubar app that do exactly what I coud've done faster with shortcuts. (not mentioning that macOS Mojave will bring even more power to the native screenshot tool with preview and markup).

@xuan_bach_le thank you and I appreciate the feedback, I still believe a need for a tool like this as some users may not remember the shortcuts including myself specially when we have so many applications running at once. Thanks again for the feedback it was very helpful!

@xuan_bach_le I find it really difficult to remember those keyboard shortcuts. Having the menu bar icon to assist me is quite helpful.
