Hi Everyone! Super excited to be launching my first product on PH. 😀 Langotalk is probably the 4th/5th AI-related product I'm building since DALL-E came out, and definitely the one I invested in the most. I'm a solo founder and I got a little help from my super professional friends to build/ideate it. My passion was always building B2C products that many people love, especially in education, because they can really affect people's lives for the better. A friend suggested this idea while I was working on a more general AI Chatbot product, and it seemed like the perfect pivot for me to work on. He was right, ChatGPT came out and made my original idea much less needed. A little bit about the problem: After talking to dozens of people learning a language, I realized that finding a good language pal is a huge pain point. People are excited to practice their language, but don't have enough people in their lives to do it with. While they had some good experiences with language exchange websites, they also raised a lot of issues there. I realized that AI could be an excellent solution for them, and after looking into similar products, I decided it can have a big impact on a lot of people, and it's worth my time and money to build it. Since then, Langotalk was already used by over 5,000 learners, and we're just getting started :) We're starting to get some really amazing feedback from our users, and there's still so much to build and value to add. Can't wait to hear your feedback and see how to make it even better! Also always happy to discuss collaborations of all sorts.

no pricing is mentioned on the homepage from what I can see... can you advise? also what languages do you cover?

Can you use it to practice multiple languages? I.e. have multiple conversations, one for each language.

My hobby is teaching English, and I usually chat in English with students on various matters in addition to my lessons. Chatting is a very powerful thing for learning, chatting is an unobtrusive but super useful practice of written language, which is much more difficult than spoken language. I've tested your product and it's wow! From the idea to the realization. I'll send my students to chat with a fairly educated bot ;) Thnx!

Love the idea! I think the landing page could benefit from a simple screenshot that quickly demonstrates the value of the chat. The video is awesome but it does take a bit more commitment to watch it. Also - can I haz Portuguese please? 🥺

As someone who is living and working there for 4 years now with only a basic ability, I am hoping this can accelerate my ability to communicate like an adult instead of a child. Interesting. However, it seems that there is no email sign-up function. It seems that there is only an email login function. 😅

Congratulations ony our launch! 🚀 I think this is one of the more useful and grounded approaches to leveraging chat based AI tools currently out there. The interface is very nice and clean, it draws people in and doesn't distract you. I more see this tool for people who have some understanding of the language they want to practice so as to maintain a conversation 🗣️ If I'm a complete beginner who wants to learn a new language, does the AI language model adapt to my level? For example, if I ask a simple question, does it generate a long answer that I might not understand?

Just checked it out. It's a great tool to learn a new language. It comes with TTS to learn how to speak. Very impressive.
