Hi everyone @ProductHunt, We're super excited to launch here! Everyone wants to learn new stuff, but nobody has the attention span for long boring classes. KwaKwa enables everyone to easily create and publish paid courses and offer them to their followers, ALL ON MOBILE. Whether you’re a creator, a business or just someone who knows stuff and wants to make money out of sharing your knowledge, KwaKwa is here for you. Creating a paid course is as easy as creating an Instagram Story. Use video, images, text, gifs, stickers, polls, quizzes, whatever. You decide how much to charge and KwaKwa takes care of everything else - landing page, billing, support, delivery. KwaKwa is free for creators, and you retain 90% of revenues collected from course participants (after transaction clearance fee by a third party vendor). Some early bird creators are already making tens of thousands of dollars monthly by creating and publishing their courses through KwaKwa. So turn your expertise into income with KwaKwa’s social media like experience and give your audience an intimate micro learning journey that they will never forget. We would love to hear your thoughts and comments!

Looks really really cool, and the demo is super intuitive. Combining the social media type creative process with more in depth content is super smart.

@producthunt @shaulmert Congrats on the KwaKwa release! It's an interesting idea to give your audience a personal microlearning journey!
Elad Meidar
@productunt @shaulmert it looks great and i instantly got what the value i'm getting is - i think it correctly addresses the way the new generations consume content and knowledge: small and precise portions. i just love how it brings value immediatly.

@producthunt @shaulmert Congrats on your incredible launch! Wishing you an amazing journey forward. What’s been the most valuable lesson learned during this process?
Alon Kestecher
@producthunt @shaulmert @antonikozelski Thanks Antoni, you are welcome to try is yourself.
On Freund
That's awesome. Does it cost anything?
Federico Zuluaga Knorr
@on just looked it up in their FAQ's: "KwaKwa is 100% free and we have no monthly charges. We deduct a flat 10% cut from every sale, so we only make money if you do. Course pricing is strictly decided by you."
Shaul Olmert
@on @federico_zuluaga_knorr Indeed. We don't charge creators for using the app. Consumers pay whatever price the creator has determined, and Kwakwa shares 10% of this income. We never make any money unless you do, and even then- you get the lion share.
Reem Sherman
Good luck! What will be the biggest difference from other platforms like Udemy?
Shaul Olmert
@reemsherman Thanks Reem. Have you tried creating or even participating in courses by some old school platforms? Data shows that they have very low completion rates of about 10% (for instance: https://novoed.com/resources/blo....) Our differentiator is that we adopted the content format of popular platforms such as Instagrm and Snap, making it super easy to create and super rewarding to consume the classes. try it out!
Adar Hay
Super interesting. I can see how this could be valuable for creators. Creating courses on sites like Udemy is hard, and consuming them is hard as well
Shaul Olmert
@adarhay Thanks Adar. We also believe it isw much more fun to consume content that way. We are seeing completion rates by consumers of over 70% as oppose to 5-15% industry standard
Kyrylo Silin
Hey Shaul, How do you see the platform evolving to support creators even more in the future? Congrats on the launch!
Shaul Olmert
@kyrylosilin Thanks Kyrylo. Our goal is to offer creators more tools to engage with their followers using monetized products. We launched with courses and will expand this offering soon. In parallel, we are constantly adding new authoring tools, more control over the course's flow and more ways to engage your followers and offer them additional products by you (that we don't share revenues from) such as physical products sells, 1:1 advisory sessions, and more. Stay tuned!
Asaf Nakash
love to see that is is providing end-to-end service for online courses, I'm curious about the size of this market; I thought that only a small number of creators were involved in designing courses. Nevertheless, the execution looks impressive.
Shaul Olmert
@nakashon Thanks Asaf. We are pleasantly surprised to learn that many medium-size creators, who have thousands or tens of thousands of followers, are actually achieving high engagement to their courses. It's not only for the top tier ones, it works really well for those who have good content authoring skills
Stefans Keiss
This looks super user-friendly! Can you integrate the courses with existing social media platforms like Instagram or TikTok?
Shaul Olmert
@memphys_sk Hi Stefans, these platforms don't allow outside content to be embedded, but we sure do! Meaning: when you create a course on kwakwa you can easily embed content from Tiktok / Instagram / Youtube / Spotify etc as part of your course content
Itay Dressler
Congrats on the launch ❤️ How can I manage my subscribers in the app? Do I get access to their usage data?
Alon Kestecher
@itayd thanks! We do have an analytics layer so that you can see some very valuable insights, and we are planning on releasing additional metrics very soon!
Ehud b
Woot woot!! 🎊
Shaul Olmert
@ehudbasis Thank you, whoever you may be
Chandula Perera
Interesting approach! two questions, is there a meaning behind the name KwaKwa? how did you come up with it? Congrats btw!
Ilan Leibovich
@chandula KwaKwa is actually a Cootie Catcher in Hebrew :) The movement of the shape embodies something that we can relate to.
Kehui Guo
Congrats on the launch of KwaKwa! I've been seeing a lot of good educational content in social media in recent years, having them in a more accessible way and help more creators monetize seem like a good idea! Good luck!
Shaul Olmert
@kehui_guo Thanks! Our goal is to answer this need by making creating and consuming courses as easy as using Instagram, Snap or Tiktok
Ehud b
@kehui_guo thanks 🙌
Tom Orbach
This is AMAZING! The future of e-learning and knowledge monetization! Congrats on your launch :))
Shaul Olmert
@tomorbach Thanks so much Tom
Ehud b
@tomorbach thanks a ton 🙌
Yair Bar-On
Can anyone create a course on Kwakwa and get paid?
Shaul Olmert
@yair_bar_on Great question Yair. yes, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to offer others to share their knowledge and insights. Everyone may use the app (it's free) to create content and market it to their audience. Knowledge is power and it should be available from everyone, to everyone!
Goldy
this saves so much time on the quest to waste other's time!
Shaul Olmert
@helmet_remover We are here for everyone's benefit Goldy! :-)
Eldad Ben Tora
This is exactly what I need. Thank you!
Aner Ravon
Its about time someone launched this product!!!!! I've been saying this forever!
Tanya Rofman
Looking awesome! Congrats you guys!! 🥳 Can you share any success stories or case studies of creators who have used KwaKwa? And how do you envision supporting creators in growing their audience through KwaKwa?
Shaul Olmert
@tanya_rofman Thanks Tanya. We have had some creators making tens of thousands of dollars with their courses, but the best evidence of the app's success is that we see creators create multiple course and run them repeatedly to wider audiences. In the future we will also enable them to access more potential course takers through the app.
KJ
hey Shaul, I have previously worked with a similar product in India. During the covid edtech funding frenzy, start-ups in this space received significant funding. Though they had to shut shop after lacking PMF. If I would have 1 recommendation from the experience- focus on very few categories/topics so you don't spread too thin.
Shaul Olmert
@growthdreamer22 Great tip KJ. Much appreciated.
Oren Aharon
App looks amazing. What is the best practice for the length of a course?
Shaul Olmert
@oren_aharon1 Great question. We have some creators offering short courses for a few dollars, and some who created courses as long as 50 episodes with many hours of video and charge hundreds of dollars. Whatever works for the content creator, the platform can support.
Eze Vidra
Congrats on coming out of stealth!
