Hey everyone!
Let me jump into the party and introduce myself as well 🙂
My name is Maria and I am the Operations Lead at Kudos, focusing on Card, Customer, and Merchant Operations (with a little bit of content and social media strategy sprinkled in for good measure). As many of you know, we wear a lot of hats at startups and there is not one day I would categorize as boring at Kudos! It keeps me on my toes!
I joined Kudos in November 2022 and it's been a whirlwind four months. Before Kudos, I was an early Honey employee, where I worked for almost 5 years (2 years in, we were acquired by PayPal). I helped build out our member experience team and then moved on to operational readiness/project management for our product and marketing launches with PayPal.
Before Honey, I spent four years at Wallaby Financial (acquired by Bankrate, which in turn was acquired by Red Ventures) where I was employee #8 and their first operations hire. I wore a lot of hats, including driving up card data quality across thousands of cards that Wallaby supported. It was a wild ride and I bet you're sensing a pattern here.
I am super excited to be a part of this team. I work alongside hungry and bright people whose mission is to create a product that effortlessly helps folks save money and become savvier in the process. Kudos reminds me of the early days of Wallaby and Honey and feels like a remix/mashup of the two, with some other really awesome features built in, like autofill. My past experiences led up to this point, and I love the amalgamation of everything!
We're a small but mighty team that works hard and cares a lot about helping people save money while educating them about how credit cards can help them (or unlock benefits) in other ways. With the new launch of Kudos Boost, we match credit card rewards at over 15,000 merchant sites, so it truly feels like a mash-up between Honey and Wallaby!

Before Kudos, I spent nearly five years at Honey — joining as an early employee and spearheading numerous growth initiatives during my tenure.

Hi folks! My name is Ahmad, the other co-founder of Kudos. We've been working really hard to bring you something that I think is magical.
I started Kudos with @iamtikue because even though I only have 3 cards, whenever I was at a checkout page, I found myself guessing which credit card to use. I always thought I had a good memory and was probably right, but I was never certain. Anyway, I never thought it was a big deal - missing out on 1% here and there. But over the course of the year, I realized I had missed out on hundreds of dollars, using the wrong card really compounded over a year of expenses!
That's why I wanted to build Kudos, I believe that we could use AI to automate all this for you. Give you certainty and confidence by automatically picking the best card. Remove the pain of clunky checkout pages out there by identifying checkout forms and autofill all your info for you (including CVV - no more looking for your wallet!)

I was originally drawn to Kudos because navigating the credit card rewards space can be very complex without doing tons of independent research and manually making sure that you are taking advantage of all of the different rewards, benefits, and credits your cards have to offer. Working on demystifying this space while focusing on making the user experience as simple and enjoyable as possible with our team has been really awesome.
Seeing our product evolve into something that I personally use on a daily basis and can recommend confidently has been extremely rewarding and I can't wait to hear the feedback from the Product Hunt community! 🙂

I remember seeing an early version of this product when you first got started. Love how much thought and effort has been put into Kudos over the past couple of years.
As someone who juggles a lot of different payment methods, Kudos has been a game changer.

💎 Pixel perfection
In 2012 I launched Wallaby, a credit card rewards optimization app for real life. You can even check out a very old PH post about it here: https://www.producthunt.com/post... I have seen a lot of Wallaby-like apps, but Kudos is the best option out there. They have taken the concept to a new level with credit card auto-fill, credit card recommendations, and now with Boost. I am loving Kudos and very excited to double my cashback in so many ways!

I installed this into my browser yesterday! Love the UI. Looking forward to getting points! Is there a way to review points/spending history analytics once you start building purchase history?

Yes, we have a feature called "Insights hub" launching in the coming weeks where we review purchase history and make AI driven recommendations for changes you can make even for purchases you didn't make with Kudos to help you earn more e.g. recommending cards to add to and remove from your wallet based on how you spend, recommending that you switch the card you use for Uber or for your streaming service to one in your wallet that gives $XXX in credit annually etc.

💡 Bright idea
Going to check this out. Just an FYI, but the referral code is not working at the moment. One other feature that might be interesting (apologize if it's already there) would be to suggest cards. I just moved to the suburbs and find myself shopping at Target way more these days. It'd be interesting to get a quarterly summary about how much I could potentially save by adding or removing specific cards.

This is actually in the works and should be live in the coming weeks, we plan to start making smart recommendations for cards that you should add and remove to your wallet with clear data driven insights on how much more you can earn / save.
- The first version of this is called "Dream Wallet" where we will automatically show you gaps in your wallet based on manually inputted spend across stores and categories.
- In the next iteration of this, we plan to (with your permission) pull more historical transaction data from your cards, so that our AI can make much more personalized recommendations.
Today, we have a personalized card explorer tool (https://www.joinkudos.com/explor...) which accomplishes a similar goal, but with a bit more manual work.
