This is a really awesome feature! You should consider adding a transcript of the voice and you can edit the video based on the transcript and it will then crop the video as needed.

It solves a very itchy yet pertinent problem. Helps in courses, podcasts, video recordings and everything. Kudos!

Hello, as part of making an online course, I spent way too much time manually editing out silences. I decided to create an app that automatically removed silences. Let me know what you think!

Really loving all of the strangely useful products coming out that can do things automatically that I would never even think to automate. This is definitely really useful for people who need to record presentations often, which means you can probably get a decent number of students using this if they learn about it.
