Kotae sends an email with the content of escalation message to the Business Owner/ Support team. They can also view the details of it on dashboard. Every escalation message contains the email of the user so that it's easier for Business Owner/ Support team to follow back.

I and the Kotae team met during their first launch and since then I have been watching their growth story.

Neat idea to use your solution (AI chatbot on the website for demonstrating).


The outcome, but also the limitation I see, is that it operates only with data that was uploaded, so I cannot get the information I need. Maybe at that point, I would automatically try to add the option to contact the support for this information + email of the support.


But in general, I like it! :)


Do you have a plan to create a more complex CRM system? Something similar to Crisp? As far as I know, they also included a similar AI option for customer support.

You have raised a very important point here. And that's already taken care of by Kotae.


When Kotae can't answer a question, it does the following:

  • Displays a contact form where users can input their question/request and email. That then gets sent to the Business Owners/ Support team who can revert back

  • Shares customer support email or contact form link for user to easily reach out

Hence, Kotae blends AI and Human support for maximum customer satisfaction.


Regarding CRM system, it's something we are looking to add a bit down the line. Stay tuned! 😁

The integration with WordPress and Messenger is useful!

Since so many websites are built on WordPress and Facebook ads are still a strong traffic channel, this could make conversions and customer engagement much smoother.

Exactly! Wordpress pretty much covers the majority of websites out there.

And with so many small businesses running entirely off Facebook, it was only natural for us to address that and allow our users to plug Kotae right in the messenger of their Facebook page where all their customers are.


P.S. For websites without wordpress, they can still add Kotae by adding the provided code snippet in <head> tag of the website.

And we are rolling out more useful integrations soon!

Yes, we do plan to add integration for Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram in the next phase. As of now, it works with Facebook messenger.

Kotae does have similarity to Intercom. However, we are much more friendly to SMEs who prefer a very simple and easy set-up and something that does exactly what it's supposed to do (answer questions to website visitors) without all the additional frills.

As of now, our focus is to ensure that our core userbase (SMEs) can use Kotae efficiently. And with that in mind, we have Wordpress integration to easily enable our users to setup Kotae on their websites. And given that a large amount of our users run their business entirely via Facebook, we offer Facebook Messenger integration, whereby Kotae can run within their Facebook Business Page's messenger.


We do plan to roll out more integrations shortly in the future and Salesforce is on the list.

@cranqnow Yes, you create an account, give it your URL (and any other files optionally) and integrate it to your website. And sit back and relax!


It scans your website, and if that's not sufficient, you can just add more information by uploading any files with relevant info you want Kotae to learn from.

Kotae gives you several options to update the knowledge base. You can either retrain with the contents of your website, if there's any update there. You can also upload any new files (PDF, DOCX, CSV, etc.) that you may have. Also, you can simply add a list of FAQ easily within the Kotae dashboard. Kotae learns and starts using the newly updated information immediately, ensuring that your customers always get the latest info.

From what I understand, Factors is more about tracking user behavior and providing analytics to improve conversion.

On the other hand, Kotae doesn't track users or is involved in anything similar. Kotae is all about giving business owners an easy way to enhance customer support. Kotae is an AI chatbot helps website visitors by providing answers to questions they may have about the business' services. This helps in enhancing customer experience and improving conversion and sales.

We certainly like to stay ambitious and innovative. As for voice chat, we don't anticipate much of a friction. However, if it was to happen for some reason, users can always use text based chat.
