Hey Product Hunt! We're incredibly excited to officially launch Karsa — the global dollar account for emerging markets.
🌍 The Problem
~1B people live in countries with high inflation, capital controls, or unstable banking systems. Getting paid globally, saving in dollars, or sending money abroad is still slow, expensive, and full of friction (or not possible at all!).
💸 What Karsa Does
Karsa is a mobile dollar account that makes it easy to:
- Protect your savings from currency instability with stablecoins
- Get a virtual US bank account
- Send and receive money globally — including directly to/from bank accounts
- And soon, spend those dollars with a Visa card, anywhere
⚙️ How It Works
You deposit local currency → we connect you to trusted stablecoin merchants → your dollars are held in-app → you can save, send, or off-ramp them simply. It’s peer-to-peer under the hood, but feels just like a modern neobank.
🔜 What’s Next
- Our Visa debit card
- Direct bank account deposits in-app
- EU bank integrations
- US Treasury yield on your deposits
- New payout and remittance routes
We’d love your thoughts, feedback, and ideas — and if you know anyone who struggles with accessing dollars or cross-border payments, send them our way!
📝 Note
We’re live globally, but focusing particularly in Pakistan, India, Nigeria, and Kenya — so upon launch, there likely won't be immediate on-ramping liquidity in most other regions. But feel free to sell stablecoins as merchant yourself! Or you can use the virtual account feature, which isn't reliant on local liquidity.

Is there a list of countries you support? :) E.g. on a website? I would like to see whether it supports my country before installing.
I'm impressed by how Karsa solves that painful currency instability problem for EMs - Cos having a mobile dollar account w/ stablecoin protection + a virtual US bank setup is exactly what's needed in high-inflation regions (I have a lot of friends who do this daily so I will be recommending it)
This could be life-changing for millions struggling with unstable banking systems & w/ the news on stablecoins w/ the US government I think it's great timing)!

@cranqnow Love to hear it! If any of them ever want to chat with us (so we can better tailor our app / experience for them) let me know

Karsa is a revolutionary way to manage your finances globally. It simplies lots of things with a virtual US bank account, stablecoin savings, and international transfers.
@pulin_yuuu Would love to see Motiff in go-publicly.com

@maxcomx yep and USDT!
Huge congrats on the Karsa launch! Democratizing access to dollars is a powerful mission. It's exciting to see the focus on Kenya. I'll be giving it a try from here. Great work!

@denis_kimani1 let me know what you think! can send over feedback and thoughts to shahryar@gokarsa.com
Karsa
@abdessamad_qarmada We're launching a virtual and physical card! And yes -- it'll be a Visa debit card so should totally work with Paypal. Happy to walk through more details so we can make sure it's the right fit -- wanna email me at shahryar@gokarsa.com ?
Will you offer any additional security or insurance for user funds in the future?
Karsa
@hi_caicai really good question at the heart of stablecoin neo-banking. I don't have a perfect answer so I'll tell you my view / what people think.
Some folks argue that since these are backed via US treasuries, they're lower risk than bank deposits -- which I can kind of (?) agree with. And we're confident in the security we have in place (we're using the same wallet provide that was just acquired by Stripe!). And then the last piece is -- there's a lot of countries around the world that don't have explicit bank deposit insurance schemes!
with all that being said, we're evaluating eventually having insurance as a cut of the NiM we make on deposits or via a subscription model. Hope this helps!

Congrats on the launch! 🌍 Opening a virtual US dollar account from anywhere is a game-changer.
Wondering — will you add features like a physical or virtual debit card soon, or integrations with local banks for easy deposits and withdrawals?
Karsa
@patpijanowski All of the above! Working on getting the virtual card up ASAP + the physical card right after; and we're in conversations to integrate with local rails in each and every country we're operating in (focusing on highest-volume/demand corridors first)
The sooner western union is disrupted the better.
would love to see Karsa at go-publicly.com
So for me I am involved in a couple of Ecommerce businesses where we sell on platforms like Etsy, we are not US based but have multiple 3pls in the US , but we always struggled with getting a US spending card to get approved in Etsy US. So would this solve this? Or does it not work like that?
Karsa
@julius_olsson Would love to hear more about this specific case -- I think we can indeed help here but want to make sure it's the right fit for you. Mind shooting me an email at shahryar@gokarsa.com ?
In today's volatile geopolitical landscape, I'm increasingly concerned that frequent shifts in international alliances could significantly disrupt our operations and jeopardize our access to critical resources.
Karsa
@jagdish_vasania yes, we do indeed have small businesses opening accounts! Would love to chat with you to make sure the app's set up in a way that fits your business needs though -- feel free to message me at shahryar@gokarsa.com
