YouTubers everywhere dread the first stage of editing: removing the silences. I've made hundreds of videos for my startup's YouTube channel in the last year, and I've drained countless hours clicking and splitting just to end up with a rough cut 😮💨 So, we decided to make Smart Cut! Smart Cut uses AI to delete silences from your video automatically, in just two clicks 🤯 It supercharges the Kapwing online editor so that creators can increase the tempo of their video, grow an audience, and engage their viewers and community. I used Smart Cut to make this demo video and to make the videos on Kapwing's YouTube channel! Happy to say it's less squinting at a screen; more creative storytelling 🌈 Smart Cut is a brand new product, so we'd love to hear any feedback you have! Oh this is perfect! I'm not proud of my video editing skills, so when I'm tasked with editing videos and having to chop away silences, for instance, I end up spending hours trying to fiddle and perfect it. This is a good tool to cut down the amount of time we spend on video editing.

As a video creator myself i love the idea! No need to download heavy duty software but uploading heavy duty video footage is my only concern. Have you thought of an offline usable version? Would love to see that as i'm often working in bad internet environment, too.

@phoheisel Ah yeah that's a fair point. Online is nice for easy sharing within teams but it doesn't work as well with bad internet connection. A couple of people have asked about an offline version so it's definitely something we'll consider! Thanks for checking it out 😸
