Hi everyone! We got tired of having our videos cropped awkwardly 🐢 on IG so we made the online video resizer! This is a great idea! My wife does video production and her clients are always looking for a way to use the videos she produces across all their marketing channels including social media.

Looking forward to testing this - it will be handy for those who don't want to edit a video in a pro editing app on desktop (such as Camtasia) or using a mobile app

@juliaenthoven Will do - I had trouble using your site for the memes so need to go back and check it out again - I am working on the latest version of Firefox which I trust works with your platform?

@juliaenthoven Just managed to log into your site - I could not get it to work on a PC and Firefox (I am using the latest version of Firefox) but I could log in on Chrome. I tested with my first one using a video from Facebook and it worked - yes! Are there any platforms it does not work with? Is there a max duration for a video upload? Does it retain the same resolution as the upload when you download it? Suggestions: It would be great if the page when it has processed could also have links to be able to do another resize - I know I often create content in different sizes for different channels It would be good to provide alternative colour options for the background (great that you already have black and white if you set the video to 'fit' versus crop and perhaps in the future give people to customise this with their brand colour or even uploading their logo or watermark as this could be missing if the original video is cropped using your tool

@krishnade Wow this is such valuable feedback - we're planning to add an information section for max duration, platforms, file support etc. It does retain the same resolution, and it should work for all platforms although we know there are issues with Firefox (were you using Quantum?). The color selector, watermark, link to resizing for other platforms, and custom resizing are also great suggestions that we've heard from other users too. Thanks so much Krishna!

@juliaenthoven You are very welcome - glad to be of assistance. Yes I am using Quantum. You might want to put a notification if people try to log in on Firefox to redirect them to Chrome or other browsers it works on. I am loving what you are building - feel free to let me know if you need further tools testing.

I'm kind of fussy about what I post. This makes me post more videos, and more people watch them.

Pros:

This resizer makes it simple to publish video content across multiple channels. Quick and easy to use, especially compared to Premier Pro.

Cons:

Haven't found any yet. I've used it on a bunch of videos and actually just really glad I found it

Congrats on a very very cool video resizing tool! Love the flexibility to upload or paste a URL. 3 clicks and viola an optimized video for different platforms. 👍👍👍

I've looked for an online video resizer before and couldn't find one that didn't have restrictions. I don't have the need for resizing for social media, just general use. I'd love if you expanded this so you can add custom dimensions and could choose the area that is displayed when you select the "fit" option. You may even be able to market it as a separate tool (not just for memes).

Interesting choice to go with no App. Does anyone know of an iOS app that does this?

@extrandrew Lots of mobile video apps offer resizing now though usually 16x9 9x17 and 1x1 resolutions only in my experience - as an example one I have been testing that is watermark free and has no charge for Android is https://play.google.com/store/ap... - they do have adds in the app though
