Hi everyone! I'm Susan, one of the founders of Journy. We created Journy to handle the most important part of your travel — figuring out what to do when you get to your destination. Journy is a personal travel concierge that uses real human expertise. Our recommendations come from hand-picked top chefs and experts. While we liken Journy to having an in-the-know local friend tell you what's best to do there, Journy goes beyond that by taking care of restaurant reservations, as well as hotel and activity bookings. We're currently live in over 50 cities around the world. While other travel concierge services focus on helping you book your flights and hotel, Journy focuses on making sure you have the best plan while you're there, with an interface that makes it easy to keep track of all the things you want to do (without having to go through the pain of learning a new tool to do it yourself). Journy is currently available at the introductory price of $15 per day of travel (2 day trip = $30). - Susan

Yes! cool to see Journy on PH, used it for a trp for Paris and I was totally blown away by how good the itinerary was, would never have found half the spots without it. Even living in Manhattan it a really simply way to plan a staycation. Super rad travel platform.

@jedgar thanks for sharing your feedback here!

This new service from my friends at Journy is seriously cool. I saw it in action in New York, and was blown away – no more relying on Foursquare or TripIt when you're in town. For $15 a day they take care of everything, getting you a customized itinerary for your trip, and they'll help you in real time once you're there. They have a great network of people who know everything about destinations, and for the price I think it's killer.

So #BlackCard concierge travel services, a la carte? Nice. @gojourny @amy_guo @susan_ho @leitihsu @ow

@elizabethhunker @gojourny @amy_guo @leitihsu @ow Funny enough, an early beta tester actually told us he cancelled his AMEX black card after using Journy for his Tokyo trip. We've found that credit card concierge services are great at getting you in to a place you want to go to, but fall short at helping you discover the hidden gems and spots you might not know about. And that's where we at Journy come in!

Big fan of Journy. Makes a trip to any new city so much more worthwhile. We get way more out of the trips we take when we use the trip planning services from Journy. Use it. Share it. You will not regret it.

Congrats on a successful PH launch! We'll be checking Journy out! All the best!

@shawnlow Thanks Shawn! Firefly looks super cool too. We've definitely had customers ask for features to help document their travels and share them with friends. Not our focus right now, but love that you've made it yours!

My wife and I are traveling around the world and we've been using Journy to help plan a big chunk of our trip. We save a ton of time and we're discovering a bunch of hidden gems we couldn't have found otherwise. We absolutely love the service!

Love the concept. Makes the trip planning more interesting. I have some questions: 1. Any plans to make "ready to go" itineraries based on the user's preferences, that one can unlock and start using right away? For ex: Over a period, the team might see repeated itinerary request for Italy(with every user's preference more or less not changing much). 2. Does Journy get some monetary benefits from the places(say restaurants) recommended by the team? I'm looking forward to using this service to plan effectively for my future vacations.
Susan Ho
@rangaravind 1) We are considering providing some free basic guides (a few can actually be found over at www.gojourny.com/stories). However, the real benefit of Journy is not just getting the right set of recommendations, it's also getting the reservations and bookings needed to enjoy that trip! 2) We have partnerships with hotels to get our travelers better perks, but we do not and will NEVER take payment from restaurants to recommend them to our travelers. We're all about super transparent pricing so it's just a flat rate of $15 / day, and any activities that require advance booking are done with no additional fees for travelers. Look forward to helping you with your next Journy!

I was one of the early customers of Journey and have to say, it's damn cool. These ladies know their way around the cities you want to visit. It's like having that local friend who knows all the good spots...

I used Journy on my trip to Iceland last month. I highly recommend it. The concierge provided us with certain recommendations that turned out to be some of the best moments of the trip, and we would have never known about them without Journy. We used it to compliment our existing itinerary, but at $15/day it's a complete no brainer.

@leitihsu is hands-down the most connected, not to mention dedicated, person I've ever met in food and travel. I've been lucky enough to get her recommendations personally over the last year and can say I would 100% trust this service.

@nishsticks Amazing! Can't wait to help you out there. Iceland is gorgeeeeee.

What does taste maker driven mean exactly?
Susan Ho
@vincent_daranyi For us, it's that our recommendations come from real "tastemakers" (top chefs, somms, handpicked local experts). While many travel concierge apps out there can provide restaurant and activity recommendations, the content they use primarily comes from scraping or using TripAdvisor, Yelp, Foursquare and forcing you to look through and decide what's relevant for you. While Journy does utilize some external APIs for validation, every place in our database passes through our team before it's recommended.

I love Journy. I get lost in time-sucking rabbit holes when planning travel. With Journy, I can get affordable, highly curated travel plans that I can trust!

When I go to top restaurants, I tell them I know @LeitiHsu. This group is super connected and super talented!
