I’m Matt, founder of ClickBid and now Sapling — a free fundraising platform built specifically for small or brand-new nonprofits (especially 501(c)(3)s with no staff).

I started ClickBid 23 years ago as a freelance gig and have worked with thousands of charities across the world. I've learned that tech provides opportunity but success is helping charities feel comfortable and supported when using it.

Over the years I've found that most tools in the nonprofit space are either too expensive, too complex, or too generic. I also have felt that many organizations need a stepping off fundraising tech for simple online giving. That's why I build Sapling. It’s simple, visual, and designed to help even the smallest organizations launch online fundraisers in minutes. It also doesn't push a CRM, volunteer management tool or ask donors for tips. It's just plain and simple fundraising without any friction.
