Less can be more, as we build deeper connections with things and people
Hi everyone. My name is Seyed, I’m doing my 3rd startup, last two have had successful exists, and I’m sort of new to Product Hunt, really pleased to be here. The stuff I’ve done in the past is a bit of a HW and SW mix, so is this one, but this time a lot more SW, user experience at its heart, and a consumer product.
I think it’s amazing that we live in a world with so many options, and so much access. Every song in the world at our finger tips, you can connect/message anyone in the world through all the platforms, there’s infinite solutions to any problem, infinite apps, but I’m fundamentally a big believer in less is more. When you have less things you build deeper connections with them. If you only have 5 albums, you really get to listen to them and they mean something so much more, and maybe it’s better to have deeper connections with your family and close friends, rather then shallow connections with endless strangers. Maybe a few tools that are right for you, rather than endless stuff you jump between.
Strangely even though we’re trying to build more and more stuff on Product Hunt, I think I’m in the right place, since we’re trying to build the right things, the more tailored things, that become those handful/special things people develop deep connections with.
I’m working on re-imagining the family computer, with communication at its heart. It’s called Higlo if you’re interested. I’ve not made a Product Hunt page for our product yet, I’m gonna do that next, but thought I’d do this first so it wouldn’t be too pluggy, I have nothing I can ask you to upvote for yet :)
I think tech can be good, even the embody the word healthy. I really care about not spying on people, we don’t even have tracking cookies on our website. I really believe in not bombarding people with endless stuff to keep them on your product. I really believe in not trying to trick people into unfair subscriptions and charges. I think a lot of you are the same, and I’m excited to be part of your community.

Product Hunt
Hi Seyed, super happy to have you on Product Hunt. I just took a look at Higlo and it seems really interesting.
I love the focus on tech being used for good and even being healthy. This seems like it could be a really interesting way to get more people using a computer in a new way. I know I've got a lot of people in my family who I would not consider to be very tech literate.
Something like this could be a really interesting approach to bridge the gap and make more connections for families.
I see that there's a waiting list for this currently. What is the projected timeline for it coming out? I'm curious what you are thinking in terms of where you would want to take this next.
