Hi PH community 👋 I’m Mathieu, a web dev shifting gears

I originally came from a business background, but after a tough job experience I decided to switch paths and dive into code.

Now I’m working as a freelance front-end dev (mainly with Nuxt.js) while also experimenting with digital products — templates, small tools, and a SaaS I’m prototyping.

I’m curious about how other solo devs here handle the balance between building, shipping, and staying consistent. What’s the hardest part for you — coding, marketing, or community?

Really resonate with this, Mathieu 👋 I’ve been in product management for 20+ years and recently shifted gears myself into building indie projects on the side. I just launched Momentia, a journaling app, and I’m in the middle of developing ClimaPal, a travel/weather assistant.

For me, the hardest part is definitely balancing the building vs. promoting — I find myself wanting to keep polishing features instead of getting them out there. Curious how you approach that trade-off when you’re prototyping your SaaS?
