Excited to join Product Hunt — building for smart homes 🔌✨

Hey everyone! I’m Leon, Co-Founder of Intecular — a startup working at the intersection of hardware and smart home simplicity. I know hardware isn't at the top of Product Hunt's minds, but I'd still love to join the community!

Last year, we brought our first product, InvisOutlet Pro, to life through Kickstarter (raised $160K+) and shipped to over 800 backers. That journey taught me a lot about building in public, obsessing over design, and shipping quality hardware.

Now we’re launching on Product Hunt later this month (July 29) , fully available and shipping. InvisOutlet Pro is a sleek in-wall smart outlet that blends in beautifully and supports Matter, Apple Home, Home Assistant and more.

I’d love to connect with others who enjoy bringing smart hardware to life. If you're into product design, consumer tech, or just like invisible things that quietly make your space smarter — I think you'll like what we’re building.

Happy to be here and excited to support your launches too!

We'll also be launching our second product, InvisOutlet Aura, on Kickstarter in August! It's the smartest way to color your home!

Hi! Welcome to Product Hunt

These look like really cool products, but I'm particularly interested in InvisOutlet Aura because I'm always looking for interesting ways to create more mood lighting at home. I can see how this would be a great night light, too.

This might be a silly question, but what does the sensor do? I noticed that sometimes there are three lights illuminated on the outlet, and other times there are two.

Launching soon!

@donna_nicholson Not a silly question at all! I love that you asked about InvisOutlet Aura as we're launching on Kickstarter next month! The InvisOutlet Aura's only sensor is the light sensor, which enables the customizable RGB light to adapt to the surrounding room's brightness automatically. For example, it will brighten itself when cloudy or at night for a comfortable glow, and dim itself during a sunny day to save energy.

About the actual light on the device, we're currently designing it to show one light at a time, though a multi-color display is also possible in the future!

Thank you!

@leonxue1 Thanks for explaining what the sensor does, and I appreciate your reassurance that it wasn't a dumb question!

I see tons of youtubers who love having background lighting, I bet a lot of them would love this!
