After a startup breakup, I'm rebuilding the right way
Hello, My name is Malith.
I’ve been building SaaS products for the past 10 years—first as a developer, then as a founder. I previously worked at Brevo, and over time, launched a few indie projects like:
@contactform.dev , @Slicklink (Beta) , and RoomBuddy
Last year, I took a bigger leap and started a company called Videco. It didn’t work out the way I’d hoped—partly because I chose the wrong co-founder. Tough but valuable lesson. Now, I’m applying everything I’ve learned to my new venture: ZapDigits.
This time, I’m focused on building something cleaner, leaner, and more aligned with how I like to work—and I’m being a lot more intentional about the people I surround myself with too.
I’m new to launching on Product Hunt, but I’ve been following the community for years. I’d love to connect with other builders here
learn from your stories, give feedback, and build relationships that go beyond launch day.
So here's my question: What helped you feel truly part of this community—not just a one-time poster, but someone who belongs here?
Looking forward to chatting! 🚀

Product Hunt
Hey, Malith 👋 Happy to have you on Product Hunt and launching more!
I'm curious, what would you say are some of the top-level lessons you learned and key takeaways from your past products? What are you doing now that you wish you had been doing previously?
Also, to your question, I'm a bit of a different case because I actually work here at Product Hunt, but I know that the forums and commenting on launches is a great way to get involved in the community!

@jakecrump Hi Jake, Two key lessons I've learned:
Be consistent. Stay focused and avoid getting distracted by every new shiny idea
Be careful with co-founders. Don’t bring on a second co-founder too early, and never give away equal equity
