Hey PH community, I’m excited to announce the launch of interviewing.io’s Pay Later Program on Product Hunt today! 🎉
But before I get into that, quick background on interviewing.io:
I used to be an engineer, then a hiring manager, and then a recruiter. Having been on all sides of the table, it became clear to me that technical hiring is broken, and the technical interview is one of the main problems.
If you’re a junior engineer, technical interviews are scary because you have no experience with them; if you’re a senior engineer, it’s probably been years since you’ve encountered the types of questions asked during these interviews, much less practiced them (ironically, the more experienced you are, the worse you do in these interviews!).
With interviewing.io, you can:
- Book realistic, rigorous mock interviews with senior engineers from FAANG and FAANG-adjacent companies
- Remain completely anonymous during the interview
- Receive immediate, detailed feedback on what you need to improve
- After 5 mock interviews with us, your odds of passing real interviews will double
And with today’s announcement of the Pay Later Program, you can get the practice you need and don’t have to pay a thing until you land a new job! That’s it! (Really.) Oh, and if you get a job through us (we have a bunch of companies hiring on our platform as well), then you never have to pay.
As one of our users said, "I am happy to share with you that I was offered the software engineering position at Facebook that I had been preparing for. [The Pay Later Program] program and the mock interviews I utilized (both general and company-specific) were an integral part of my outcome as I received feedback on my interview performance that I had only ever guessed at. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been able to do the deferred payment arrangement with Interviewing.io since I would've foregone paid mock interviews otherwise!"
Feedback & questions welcome. Thanks everyone!
What an amazing offering. Interviewing just sucks, and you don't know what type of questions get asked by what company. Sounds like this is an amazing way to get up to speed.
I’m a senior engineer who’s been out of the interview game for a while. Like you mention, it’s been some time since I’ve seriously drilled algorithms and data structures, leaving me less prepared to interview in this way than I was four years ago.
However, given the level of compensation I require and the slower pace of interviewing I am pursuing (working 50+ hours per week), would I still qualify for this program? It may turn out that in four months, I haven’t found an offer that works for me or meets my requirements.
I think you’re doing a great service here and just don’t care to abuse the system. Let me know.
@raptdev Yes of course! When we ran this in pilot mode, it took some people longer than 6 months to find a job. It's ok with us. Take all the time you need. All we ask is that you're doing it in good faith and actually practicing/looking.
This is a great product that my colleague and friend used for practice before landing a director level engineering position -- I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their chances of landing their dream job.
@jinu2id Yeah, you'd owe the full amount, but credits would be yours to keep forever and use anytime. If you're unsure, better to opt for the $512 to start.
@tvik It depends what types of sessions you want. If you want algorithmic mock interviews, they're $120 each, which means you can get 9 with this program. If you want something more niche like, say, eng mgmt, that's $295, so you could get 3 of those and then have some credits left over.
