Icon Shelf is a free and open-source SVG icon manager for web developers. Improve how you add icons to your frontend project. All your icons in one place, easily copyable as code.
Great tool! *_* This is so helpful for all designers and creators! Saves time, and provides a bunch of inspirations and useful items! Thanks, and congratulations on the launch! ^_^ Is it possible to download it in different formats, or there is a certain format in which it must be downloaded? :))
Thanks @maria_brm. Did you mean if we can export icon to different formats? We don't support export as of now, but happy to take a feature request. What all export formats were you looking for?
@robin_philip_thomas Yes, exactly.. Thanks for the answer! That would be very cool feature ^_^ I wish you inspiring ideas and luck in further development! ^_^
This looks nice, I was just thinking the other day that it would be nice to have a single place to go to for icons, my tried and trusted set if you like. One suggestion would be to loose the "seem" in the "And they seem to love us" - I get the tone of voice you have gone for but there is an odd seed of doubt in the phrase, "And they love us" is more confident 😀
Howdy Product Hunters; excited to finally be launching Icon Shelf today 🍿
Big ❤️ to @kevin for hunting us.
Icon Shelf is a tool I wish I had as a frontend/product engineer. I hated the time searching for a specific icon in file system and finally after finding it, struggling to get the import statement for the icon correct.
Icon Shelf tries to solve this and many other SVG icon related problems.
If you would like to see what all is coming next for Icon Shelf, have a look at our roadmap.

I built it on my free time and its relatively new.
Would love you'r thoughts and feedback. ❤️

Hi, nice attempt but all the icons are displayed black which makes them impossible to view on the dark background. I've tried with several icons packs with the same result. On Windows 11 here.
@franckinjapan will check it out. In the mean time can you tell me what is the fill value of these svgs. Are they fill="currentcolor" or something else?
We have a similar issue filed on github, which you can use to track the issue.

@robin_philip_thomas The fill value wouldn't matter at all if you used -webkit-mask-image in order to display the icons in the grid. By doing this you can override any existing color.
One enhancement I would like to see is,
Instead of having " copy as react " as default option in the right pane, it would be easy if there is customisation available to make default option for copy and show rest of the copy options on click of a three dots menu under it.
@write2sampath I like the secondary menu idea. But currently if you wanna customise the primary action it is possible.
Click on "customize actions" menu item on the left nav collection item. Drag the action you want as primary to the top. This becomes the primary action for the collection.
@serggg were you trying to build it manually after cloning repo? I can see the error is file not found for render.dev.js. Which could be due to not running setup steps in github properly.
If you want the packaged app, you can download and install from https://icon-shelf.github.io/dow...
@badrekb You will have to whitelist icon-shelf in windows defender for now.
It shows like that since we have not bought a Signing Certificate for windows. Not due to it having any harmful software.
