Eliminate the hassle of manual page testing with daily automated video and image performance monitoring. Gain actionable weekly insights, track historical trends, and stay ahead of performance bottlenecks effortlessly.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
We’re super excited 🤩 to launch ImageKit’s Website Performance Analyzer, a free tool that provides comprehensive image and video optimization insights to improve your website’s speed and user experience.
We know how frustrating it can be to manually test page performance, especially with videos. That's why we've built upon Google Lighthouse's capabilities to deliver customized performance analysis, automated reports, and actionable recommendations for both videos and images.
ImageKit’s website analyzer is your go-to tool for media performance monitoring:
✅ Monitor daily media performance on both mobile & desktop devices across key web pages e.g., the home page, product detail pages, and listing pages from a single dashboard.
✅ Analyze images and videos for key factors such as proper sizing, lazy loading, and modern format adoption (e.g., WebP, AVIF, AV1) using performance scores, and get actionable insights to improve these areas.
✅ Receive weekly email reports summarizing your website’s media performance, with actionable recommendations to quickly resolve potential issues.
✅ Access 90 days of historical data to understand how design, UI, or technology updates impact your website’s performance.
The best part?
ImageKit’s website analyzer is completely free to use. Just sign up with your email address and start tracking web performance.

Beyond website analysis
ImageKit also offers a URL-based Image and Video API, using which you can implement many of the recommended optimizations by simply plugging in to ImageKit’s API, and start optimizing website performance in minutes.

Definitely one of the best custom-built use cases over lightspeed. Love the UI, it gives an overall idea of how my website has been performing over the last 7 days. I don't think the 90-day historical data was of any benefit for me at this moment, let's keep it for post 3-month mark.
Coolest part, imo? No ads and it's free (we hardly get any such tools anymore). Kudos!
Been using this as a beta user. Makes it really easy for the front-end team to keep track of performance for our landing pages. Great automated alternative to just manually getting Lighthouse reports.
Super helpful to track any website change. Loved the actionable insights and the guides you guys have added with it - the fact that this is free without any Ads is crazy! Great work!
@busmark_w_nika Thanks for trying it out and sharing your thoughts! 😊
While pagespeed.web.dev (Lighthouse) gives a solid overview of general page performance, our tool dives deeper into images and videos, which are often the biggest culprits behind slow websites.
For example, PageSpeed only provides a generic recommendations such as "Avoid enormous network payloads." when it comes to video. The website analyzer goes a step further and analyze video format.
Also the overall scoring is custom and takes into account images & video.
I’ve been using this website performance analyzer on some of my personal websites, and it’s refreshing to see such a powerful tool available for free. I love how it tracks historical trends—it’s amazing to see consistent improvements over time as I tweak my site based on its recommendations.
The video analytics feature is especially impressive—it’s one of the most insightful metrics I’ve come across recently and has been a game-changer for optimizing my site's performance!
I tried for my website which had gif animated content, it identified that gifs are large converting them into videos can save upto 90%. wow I didn't even know about this.
Monitoring everything from one place, automated reports and historical trends!!! And all this for free. ImageKit's website analyzer is going to rock the world for tech teams.
@shivam_kaushik9 Video analysis is indeed a newer challenge for many, and we're glad we could bring something valuable to the table. If you have any specific feedback or ideas to make it even better, we’d love to hear them
@yamini_kuchhal1 The email report includes color-coded graphs for the last 7 days, highlighting key metrics like image optimization, correct sizing, and image & video formats. It provides a quick bird's-eye view of how images and videos are impacting webpage performance.
@ansumanshah Great question! The analyzer is built on top of Google Lighthouse, which handles dynamic pages and SPAs by evaluating the fully rendered state of the page. Analyzer ensures that content loaded asynchronously (like JavaScript-rendered elements) is included in the analysis, just as users experience it in the browser.
