Hi again Product Hunt πŸ‘‹, super excited to bring Ignition out of beta and share v1.0 with all of you! We built Ignition to help Product leaders and Product Marketers to better collaborate and build more repeatable, effective go-to-market processes for new products and features. Launches are fragmented, chaotic, and cost companies millions when products flop. My cofounder and I have launched 100’s of products at PlayStation, Rippling, Meta, and startups and have seen firsthand how deep market insights, a consistent planning motion, and tight coordination between product and GTM teams unlock effective go-to-market that helps products stand out and get adopted. But most teams really struggle to create that alignment because tool fragmentation creates information silos where plans are disconnected from context, and communication is more reactive than proactive. Product lives in one tool, Product Marketing doesn’t have *any* tools, and it’s incredibly hard for both of them to push info to Sales, Success, and Execs. We solve that at Ignition with a single platform that unifies Product and GTM work. πŸ” Research & Insights β€” automatically collect and monitor competitive intelligence, conduct customer research, and build a knowledge base of reusable personas. πŸ’‘ Product Management β€” collect product ideas with voting boards, build visual roadmaps, and communicate releases with changelogs and seamless GTM handoffs. πŸš€ Go-to-Market β€” instantly generate best-practice based GTM plans with Copilot AI, and create a single source of truth for plans, timelines, assets, and tasks. πŸ“£ Internal Comms Automation β€” automate internal briefings and status updates with β€œpulse” updates that let you push modular updates to stakeholders via email and Slack. 🧠 Embedded AI β€” use integrated GPT-3 workflows to generate copy across key launch assets, summarize insights, and create strategic GTM documentation. Would love to hear what you all think (and your launch horror stories)! P.S. Ignition’s got a generous free plan, but as a special Product Hunt bonus, upgrading to a paid plan this month gets you unlimited usage through March!

@ozbad03 Tried out ignition after Nathan Latka's podcast and the appsumo launch long ago, will check it out again :)

Hey guys! Take my congrats on the recent launch of the Product Hunt! πŸŽ‰ I love the name of the project β™₯️. Ignition sounds really great. When I read this I caught myself on thought about space, spaceships, and the future πŸš€. I also like space gray colors in the design. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the logo. As for me, it's not so informative. In the matter of functionality, you are quite similar to JIRA and Target Process. What is your killer feature? How are you going to overcome them?
Karthik Suresh
@denis_galka Thanks Denis! We're not an engineering project management platform like Jira. In fact, we integrate with Jira and most of the project/task management software. From a product management perspective, you can think of us as an end-to-end product lifecycle management platform to collect product ideas with voting boards, build visual roadmaps, and communicate releases with changelogs and seamless GTM handoffs. Task management /tracking engineering tasks from Jira is just one feature. There are several killer features. The one I like the most is the automated go-to-market plan creation powered by our proprietary AI co-pilot along with stakeholder management. Give it a spin and let us know which feature you love the most!
Denis Galka
@karthik_suresh2 Thank you for answering. Looks good. It seems like Ignition is an all-in-one solution that fits any startup. Go ahead!

Congrats on the launch! Curious at what stage of company growth you see people get the most value out of a tool like this?
Jamasen Rodriguez
@stedmanblake We're seeing a good mix of company stages with heavy usage on the edges. Many small solo-product marketers and founders use Ignition to get go-to-market structure right from the beginning. While we also have many companies over 1K employees empowering their entire product marketing team with Ignition - planning over 100 launches a year! 🀯
Derek Osgood
@stedmanblake Thanks Stedman! We kind of see a couple very distinct segments of audience, each with slightly different focus areas in the product. Our sweet spot is kind of companies that just went through their first growth inflection and are starting to scale, adding sales, launching more things, etc. (so, companies that recently crossed the ~50-100 employee mark). But, we have a ton of very small teams and solo marketers who use us as well for our research and release notes tools or for planning their initial company launch. We also have some very very large enterprise teams using us for the massive stakeholder alignment needs that come along with a large org.

I worked on product launches at Uber for many years - I can totally see how Ignition can help streamline the hairiest of product launches..
Jamasen Rodriguez
@amr_alshihabi1 πŸ™Œ - Shout it for the people in the back! What were some of the hairiest problems you faced when launching products at Uber? I'm sure the PH community will appreciate the stories. Common issues we hear: - Lack of structure - recreating the wheel and creating launches from scratch - Teams not understanding what's going on in the launch process - Understanding launch impact
Derek Osgood
@amr_alshihabi1 Thanks Amr! Uber are all-time greats when it comes to launching stuff (markets, products, etc.) so glad to hear this resonates so much :)
Amr Alshihabi
@jamasenr Cross functional coordination was probably the biggest thing. Uber is a bits and atoms company with operations teams all over the world that were critical to the success of any launches or experiments. Making sure all relevant teams are delivering on their tasks & understanding dependencies was very important along with ensuring relevant teams are informed. From a launch impact perspective - I think the golden nugget is understanding any end customer feedback (in addition to all biz metrics). Given the company has bits AND atoms - and every single transaction is an in person interaction (24m per day), getting a btter understanding of the customer experience at Uber as it relates to product launches was critical.

πŸ‘πŸΌ Congrats on launching on Product Hunt! πŸ₯³ Ignition looks like an amazing tool to help product teams collaborate and create more effective go-to-market processes. I'm curious to hear more about how it's being used in different industries - could you share any use cases you've seen? πŸ€” Also, what's been the most helpful feature for you guys while building the product? πŸ€— Finally, I'm excited to see what Ignition can do and can't wait to try it out! 🀩
Derek Osgood
@paolo_degiglio Thanks so much for the kind words!! It's been really impressive seeing the breadth of use cases our users have found for the product -- we have SaaS companies launching new features, film studios launching movies, apparel companies launching new clothing lines, and all sorts of "non-product" type launches being created like event launches, campaign launches, pricing updates, and rebrands. In terms of most helpful features -- we really love the modular status updates for communicating plans internally and briefing agency partners. But recently we've also been using our SEO tools quite a bit for researching keywords to target based on competitor rankings.
Christopher Ries
I can tell that you all spent a ton of time on the product design. Everything is intuitive and makes total sense! For go-to-market are you able to provide any data/analytics about how different assets or tasks performed? This could be through UTM links that you deploy as a CTA for various announcements and/or marketing assets.
Derek Osgood
@cjries Thanks Christopher! Yeah we try to put a lot of love and care into making the product really intuitive and delightful -- part of why teams that try to hack this stuff together in spreadsheets/docs/project management tools/etc. really struggle is that there's no structure and cross-functional teammates can't consume the info effectively. Re: analytics -- absolutely on our roadmap! We're hoping to have asset-level analytics probably within the next couple months, and we're going to have some broader product/CRM analytics integrations with some really powerful impact reports, within the next couple weeks.
Jamasen Rodriguez
Thanks @cjries for the praise πŸ™Œ - UX is always evolving and we appreciate the kind words. Can you walk me through some of the use cases in your GTM motion where you would get the most benefit from these types of analytics and what improvements you'd be looking to make given the data?
Christopher Ries
@jamasenr just gauging what the most successful campaigns were during a given GTM push. Was it that Twitter post that we co-tweeted? Was it a Medium article that drove a ton of people to the site? Helps the product marketing folks better understand with actionable data which parts of the campaign were successful and were not successful with actionable data.
Shushant Lakhyani
This is one amazing and unique product I'm seeing here today! Congratulations on the launch! Rooting for your launch success!
Joseph Abraham
Congratulations on launching Ignition v1.0! It's exciting to see a platform that addresses the fragmentation and chaos of product launches. Your solution of unifying product and GTM work in a single platform, along with features like AI-generated copy and pulse updates, sounds like a game-changer for product leaders and marketers.
Derek Osgood
@saasfellow Super excited you're excited Joseph! One of our users was literally *just* calling it a game-changer on LinkedIn yesterday, so you're spot-on ;).
Anastasia Sartan
Congratulations! As a director of product, I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve our product launches and drive revenue. That's why I'm so excited and have high hopes for what Ignition can do for our PMM and PM teams. From my sneak peek (provided by the team), this level of unification and automation is something I haven't seen in any other platform and I'm eager to put it to the test. While I haven't used Ignition yet on a scale, I'm impressed by what I've seen so far, and I believe it has the potential to be a game-changer for any product team looking to optimize their Go-to-Market operations. I'll be sure to update this review once I've had the chance to use it myself, but for now, I highly recommend keeping Gnition on your radar.
Jamasen Rodriguez
@anastasia_sartan1 We're here to support when you get the chance to dive in deeper! Ignition offers a free plan too so you can join now and take your time evaluating the platform for your needs.
Varun Varma
Congratulations on the launch! Does the platform also help in identifying the ICP? and then suggest the relevant channels to execute GTM?
Derek Osgood
@varunvarma91 ICP identification is coming *very* soon! But yes we do suggest all the relevant channels to execute the GTM :). We also suggest, based on the channels you've chosen to use, what marketing assets you need to create, as well as a full project plan for all the GTM tasks you need to execute.
Varun Varma
@ozbad03 Now it gets super exciting! How can I test it myself? Sign up on the website?
Varun Varma

Derek Osgood
@richkingpma SOOOOO much dogfooding haha. We've actually been demoing out of our Ignition 1.0 launch plan on sales calls for the last 2 months :). Thank you so much for all of your and PMA's support!!! Couldn't be doing it without you guys and the awesome community you've built!

Nikita Abrosimov
@ozbad03 hey! Congrats on the PH launch with your excellent tool! It's a solid decision to use GPT for copy generation. Do you have some ideas for using diffusion models for ads creatives generation? It would be quite helpful for product marketing managers.
Derek Osgood
@nikita_abrosimov1 Hey and thank you! Absolutely in the plans -- over time we're going to be adding a variety of image and asset generation, including things like case studies and sales decks :).
