I am the co-founder of if.team along with Oleh Frolov and Anton Makohonov.
We are an IT-outsource team of a company from Ukraine 🇺🇦 which deals with the entire spectrum of web development and has up to 55 employees. At the moment, we have about 15 active projects, around 200 clients from all over the world and 7 years of experience in the IT industry. We, as business owners, have faced a big problem - we cannot control project costs in real time depending on iterations and employee rates, and as a result - we lose a lot of money, since part of the projects are non-profitable ⛔️
🛠Therefore, we decided to create a service for our company that would solve all these problems. During the development process, we talked a lot with the owners of small and medium-sized companies, which had from 5 to 100 employees, and we came to the opinion that our service can be useful not only to us. The agencies I know are going to love this! It's always been a pain for them to include multiple freelancers and their rates in a project, and link that information with the time tracking element, and even worse, track their budget burn-down schedule (I didn't even know that was a term before today).

Firstly about rates. We allow our customers to use 3 levels of rates:
1.) basic employee rate with history, periods of changes etc.;
2.) optionally, rate types in certain project, which could overwrite basic employee rates;
3.) optionally, rate in certain task, which could overwrite all other rates.
Also, we're developing calculations for companies with fixed salaries. In this case for every employee we're going to calculate planned rate and actual rate (according to tracked hours).
Iterations (stages, subprojects) help to have better analytics for every part of the project. I mean, every task, expense, payment etc. could be connected with its own iteration. And, finally, you can burn rates and figures for every part of the project.
Yes, customer can add any expenses to project. Regular expenses are also possible. Like payments of these expenses can have statuses for planning (paid, unpaid etc.).
Sure, we're thinking a lot about integration. Now we're doing it on client's requests. So, if you needed some integration, we would be happy to discuss.

Sure, we're thinking a lot about integrations. We've made build-in task manager and time tracking, but we realize that many companies prefer to use our service as a project cost dashboard. So they need integrations with task managers, accounting etc. Some of them are ready, but generally we make integrations on client's response. So, if you need it - it's possible :)
Onboarding is really easy, you should try :) I don't really think that you'll face any problems. We're working a lot about this and we're thinking a lot about not digitilized companies. Anyway, I would be happy to show you demo and assist with onboarding, when it would be convinient for you.
