Great work as always @pablostanley 😻 I love this.. Maybe your next avatar set should be with cats/dogs 😸
Pablo Stanley
@amrith OMG! A pets version would be dope!!! I'm totally gonna run with your idea, man. Thank you ❤️
Ozgur Ozer
Is it me or is that what supposed to be? Some parts are missing colors.
Pablo Stanley
Hello, hunters and makers! Humaaans is a free library to mix-&-match illustrations of people. You can customize their positions, clothing, colors, and hairstyle to create some cool scenes. You can add backgrounds and use the power of libraries to make it your own 💈 I added some templates of web landing pages, mobile error/success/empty states, and onboarding flows so you can quickly get started. 📱🖥 It's available on InVision Studio, which allows you to create some dope animations and tell better stories with prototypes. You can also use the Sketch file to customize the library 🎨 I can't wait to see all the crazy stuff you create with it 💪🏽 P.S. I shared some of my process on this twitter thread, in case you wanna see a bit more background https://twitter.com/pablostanley...

Flip @pablostanley - this is an amazing December gift to designers everywhere! Thank you so much.
Ozgur Ozer
@pablostanley I made a web-based design tool (in 2 hours) for quick prototypes. Humaaans Design Tool https://ozgrozer.github.io/hdt/ Features - You can use the search input (eg: head) to filter the illustrations in the left side. - You can add illustrations from the left side by clicking them. - You can move, resize, move to back/front, and remove your illustrations in the right side. - You can download your design as JPG (white background), and as PNG (transparent background).
Pablo Stanley
@ozgrozer How did you even? Holy shit, man. This is amazing! Thank you so so much. Dope work!
Ozgur Ozer
@pablostanley Thank you 😊 I made this before (I made it in couple of hours too), so I had the code. Now I just exported the illustrations from Sketch library, fixed some bugs and that's it.
Nathan Guo
@pablostanley @ozgrozer awesome people! even coolr to make it drag and drop. I was dragging all the time..
Juan Sarmiento
@pablostanley Pablo, amazing product ! congrats :) We are creating a free SVG colorizer, it will allow to automatically colorize a pack of SVG via a web interface, could you include some of your hummaaans as one of the samples for the tool ?
Juan Sarmiento
@pablostanley and wondering if can I include some of your avatars as well ? :)
Jason Crabtree
This is awesome! Has been great following the development on twitter. I like that you used natural skin colours (instead of purple / blue / green). Any plans for a figma version? I know you're biased to Studio!
Jason Crabtree
Turns out you can drag the file into figma (I downloaded it as a sketch file) and it works perfectly. Lovely 🙌🙌
Pablo Stanley
@jason_crabtree_ So cool to see you were able to use it, Jason! Can't wait to check out the dope stuff you create with it. Feel free to change it and make it your own. With the power of components/symbols you can pretty much change it and make it fit your brand needs ❤️

@jason_crabtree_ @pablostanley I arranged a version of Humaaans at Figma https://www.figma.com/file/6w6HD... <3

The Idea is simply marvellous and its Free!!

Pros:

Helps to scratch quickly and stay very productive.

Cons:

Product may loose its unique identity as these illustrations are going to be used by infinite number of designers.

Pablo Stanley
Thank you so much for your review, Nitish! I think you are right on your cons. And I hope that the library is also used as a base so people can put their own spices and materials and make it their own. It can also serve as an inspiration so other illustrators use the power of libraries to mix-and-match their own stuff. I also hope that non-designers are able to use this to get their ideas started before they can afford hiring a professional illustrator. Sometimes is hard to prove the value of illustration to other stakeholders unless you have something in your hands—showing how your product could look. Much love! ❤️
Nitish Khagwal
@pablostanley Indeed! I am scratching the lo-fi with same too 😃 But really you have just redefined the use of the Symbols and Components - that's for sure a big inspiration. Kudos!!
Crystal “CJ” Jackson
What could be nice is explaining, here is a spot for illustrations. If there is a budget approved, unique illustrations could be applied. If no budget, risk being a little less unique to get the product out there. A designer might be able to add a logo on the shirt or tweak a design to make an element stand out.
Rhys Webber

Amazing, will definately be using this in future projects

Pros:

Easy to use with in depth, beautiful end images

Cons:

None

Markus Riegel
Thank you so much for making your awesome illustration work available for free. Another masterpiece after Avataaars and Bottts!
Pablo Stanley
@marcorei Thank you so much, Markus—means a lot. I hope you find the library useful ❤️
Anita Kirkovska

Justin Johnson
Nice work, Pablo. I love anything that can help anyone with a hint of creativity design and build things. All of the illustrations have a very modern feel.
Taurean Bryant
@pablostanley This is so good, 🙌 thank you for this! (Just a heads up, my company's security blocked access to this page but I pulled it up on mobile. idk if thats an isolated issue but figured I'd share)
Danielle Baskin
There's a great Twitter account that critiques the trend of "flat humans" pervading the tech world. https://twitter.com/HumansOfFlat I was almost going to be one for Halloween.
Logan Boyd
Any chance of making this available for Adobe products? What is the .studio extensions? I don't think I have heard of that before. A great library though, I hope that many people will find a great use for it!
Charles Patterson

Humaaans are better than real humans

Pros:

Amazing

Cons:

There's no naked humaaans... v2.0 hopefully 🤞

Pablo Stanley
I'll have a Private Beta of the naked version soon. Lol.
Veni Kunche
wow, this is amazing Pablo. I used your other library Avataars and I love how easy you made it for a non-designer like me. It looks like you did the same for humaaans. btw, i love that you have a pregnant woman option!! i can't wait to use it!
Thalion

Useful Sketch library that may become starter kit for UI illustrations.

Pros:

- Simple and easy to use - Useful for UI illustrations - Lots of available configurations

Cons:

- There always may be more components ;)

Ted Chen
Really love the style of illustration!! Simple, clean and easy to use, would definitely give a try. Congrats on the launch!
Andrea Soverini
Thanks for making this and making this free, glad to see more open source stuff for designers from designers! <3
Pablo Stanley
@sovesove Hell yeah, Andrea! Totally believe in the power of sharing. I feel that if we share this kind of stuff, it will probably inspire other peeps to create even wayyy cooler things and hopefully, help everyone make the web more beautiful and inclusive. Ok, I'm a hippie now. lol.
