Hum — Redefining the inbox one chat at a time

Very interesting space to watch. There are several enterprise chatting apps, Slack, Hipchat, Kato, Anchor (acquired), Hall, Hop, Tigertext, CoTap. A few are newer and on mobile, but most are incumbent desktop clients. Hum is one of the few that lets users create short topic based chats similar to email, rather than having one persistent chat (either user based or room based). The design looks really cool. I couldn't really understand though if it was a chat by itself or if it was a client on top existing channels like gtalk, hipchat and so on. Looks really interesting anyway.
