Prompting Resources and Tips
I recently found a dataset on @Hugging Face that has a huge list of prompts. It's called awesome-chatgpt-prompts, but they point out that it's applicable to other models as well. There are some really useful ones in it along with some funny ones like Magician and Lunatic 😂
I've found persona prompts like this to be really helpful, and I want to start trying out some of these now. I've even gotten my wife to start using some persona prompts in @ChatGPT by OpenAI and she's getting better results.
Do you have any go-to prompts or personas you use when building? Or just in general?
Have any other lists of great prompts?

I wanted to share what I've created based on other companies' systems and foundation prompts, along with all these massive prompts libraries. I've simply built an OpenAI agent that does a great job of creating ultimate prompts or refining yours. Please https://chatgpt.com/g/g-6807e693a3288191b85afd366b9be1d6-billion-dollar-prompter ;)

@belkins Very cool! So instead of having to search for a specific prompt, just prompt to get a prompt.
I just tried it out and got a really good prompt for a senior Ruby on Rails developer.

@jakecrump try it, you will love it.
Using it, I'm even creating a system and foundation prompt of extreme good quality.
@belkins Looks promising, I will give it a try

One prompt I've started using when I'm doing development work is telling @Claude by Anthropic to act as a senior engineer who's mentoring me and is invested in seeing me learn and understand engineering concepts. It tends to do a much better job of explaining things when it suggests coding changes, and I've found it really helpful for learning as I go.

Good one. I'm not sure if this one is same as that on Hugging face https://github.com/f/awesome-chatgpt-prompts

@kuldeep_kulshreshtha Yep, looks like it's the same one! It seems like they have other resources on that repo though so definitely worth checking that out as well. Good call!

@jakecrump Kool.
Quick question: what's the tools are you using to manage prompts?
Product Hunt
@thaw_tran I'm not actually using any tools for managing prompts. I've just been copy/pasting from this dataset or from past conversations where I had prompts that seemed to work well.
Any suggestions for managing prompts?
@jakecrump Nope. I'm copy/pasting too :)
