Hey ProductHunters, Dharmesh here. Lately we’ve been working on making our free lead capture product, Leadin, much more lightweight and streamlined. We’ve just released Lead Flows, which distills what used to be a pretty cumbersome lead conversion process into a simple, all-in-one widget.
What’s great about Lead Flows is that the whole lead conversion process (Blog Post > CTA > Landing Page > Form > Thank You Page > Content) now takes place in one friendly little corner of your website page. Lead Flows puts your CTA, form, and deliverable all in the same little popup widget. No clicking around, no creating new pages, no long, drawn-out process between “ask” and “receive.”
Lead Flows makes it easier to measure and manage your leads, too. Once a lead is converted on your website, you can track their page view and form submission history, learn more about their interests, and nurture them further along with your preferred email service provider.
Lead Flows can be triggered by page scroll, time delay, and exit intent, and can appear as a dropdown banner, page overlay, or slide-in box.
We’d love your feedback on this powerful new way of capturing leads on your website. The makers that worked on Lead Flows are ready and waiting to reply to your comments and questions. Thanks for checking it out.
Cheers.
@dharmesh Wow, you guys at Hubspot Rock! These free products are incredible. Well done Dharmesh. I get along well with some of the Hubspot guys here in Sydney. If you ever come to Sydney I would love to meet you!
@dansiepen Thanks for the kind words. Most of the team for Leadin as out of our Dublin office. Those folks are amazing. And yes, I do have plans to visit Sydney within the next year.
@dobbsshow@dharmesh@socedo Hey Gary - leadin works with HubSpot CRM, making it easy for leads your site captures to flow smoothly into your CRM. If you use something besides HubSpot CRM, then you can easily export/import leads at your convenience!
@dharmesh I very much like it. When will this be compatible with @hubspot ? In order to use it we would have to hook it to mailchimp/other and then Zapier it over.
@dharmesh It is one of the missing features from hubspot. We are using several different apps and connectors to get this shit done, which is costing us $50 easily. Free lead capturing is actually paid for us today.
Having said that "whole lead conversion process (Blog Post > CTA > Landing Page > Form > Thank You Page > Content) now takes place in one friendly little corner of your website page" will solve lot of our problem. I love the fact that I get to see the customer engagement.
I will put it on my blog (blog.vizury.com) right now! Woooooo... Going live with it.
Hi @nishant_k_gupta - we've just added the ability to add Lead Flows to your existing HubSpot account! You can check out the details here - http://leadin.hubspot.com/knowle...
Let us know what you think, and if you have any issues.
@nishant_k_gupta Thanks for giving it a shot. In my (biased) opinion, this kind of "flow" is much, much better for the end user. Simple and smooth with minimum friction.
@snappiet@dharmesh@nishant_k_gupta Hey! This is a true blessing! But one question, where do I activate workflow for it? How do I send an instant email to someone who fills this form? What is the form named as? What property does it sit under? I know that's a lot of questions, just excited to launch it now.
Hi @nam, I can shine some light on that. List segmentation and workflow triggers for lead flows is coming very soon to HubSpot. We're working on the final pieces as we speak and should have it in your hands shortly. We were very eager to get lead flows into everyone's hands so didn't want to delay any longer :)
@shay_redmond Hey Shay! So, tried it on our blog. I don't understand why a user has to take 2 clicks to download a small ebook. Is it possible to have the form upfront and on hitting the "download" button, have the ebook (open in a new tab or download it)? Are we missing something or is it built that way?
Also, are there any design options for the background of the pop up? I thought since it is from Hubspot, it would be way cooler than Hellobar.
I've been actively using Leadin...
Can't really see what changed other than the name.
The labels for the popup feature is now called "Lead Flow." Haven't really noticed anything else. I believe the CRM contacts will be synced too, and I'm yet to find that.
Am I missing something?
@allancaeg Hi Allan, glad to hear you've been a user for a while! What we're releasing today is the full package of the lead flows editor, the new lead flows dashboard, updates to the lead flow design on the site and in addition Leadin available as an add-on for HubSpot in beta (vs being a separate account). We have a little more on the add-on here: http://leadin.hubspot.com/knowle...
If you'd like any help getting set up with Leadin connected to your HubSpot CRM, we're more than happy to help out. You can reach out to the team directly via the Help widget inside the app and we can get you set up.
@allancaeg
Yes, lots has changed! Check this out:
1) Previously, Leadin was a single PopUp (2 step)
2) Now, its a 3 step process with a consistent design language across all types. This allows us to add even more types of Lead Flows. We currently have Slide-In Box Left, Slide-in Box Right, Top Banner, and Overlay.
3) The three steps are now represented by the creation wizard, which not only makes it easier and faster to create, but also gives you more power per stage.
But the real accomplishment: NOW YOU CAN CREATE MULTIPLE LEAD FLOWS :)
So check out this scenario:
You user shows up to your site and notices a 'Top Banner Lead Flow' that is site wide, telling them about your upcoming event/webinar/sale.
Then, the visitor navigates to one of your product/service pages. As they read, they are presented with a valuable content offer related to that product/service. Now, you can make targeted content offers for your product/service pages - something that gives the visitor a relevant offer, but also shows you show is highly qualified.
When the visitor decides to leave, you can trigger an exit Lead Flow to offer them a way to stay up to date with the latest in your industry (or whatever valuable offer you think they want).
Leadin, in the past, only allowed you to make a SINGLE PopUp box for the entire site.
... so you get Lead Flows plus all of the other amazing things Leadin already provided (consolidation, analysis, insights, routing)
This is really cool! I love the fact that we can learn more about a lead's engagement through the tool. Would love to test this against a traditional landing page.
@donte_ll We're testing that out as well - so far Lead Flows are performing better, but there are still use cases for more permanent landing pages. Would love to talk about any findings you have!
@donte_ll Specifically, Lead Flows are better performing by 699% with 100% confidence in our tests so far ;) Not just a little better, but A LOT better!
Hi @dharmesh This is an incredible piece of Design and Engineering. Kudos to the Design team at HubSpot, I simply love it. Just a quick think: I'm a Security junkie, so my unique advice is to use HTTPS for the platform.
Thanks @marcosluis2186! We're proud of what we've built and have much more to come. I'm a bit of a security junkie too, so I believe I've used HTTPS throughout when building Leadin - if you've found somewhere I've missed, I'd love to hear about it.
@marcosluis2186 Ah, I see what you mean. That's actually our marketing site, but I'll work to get that on HTTPS also. Our application is hosted on app.hubspot.com, which is entirely HTTPS. Thanks for the heads up!
I'm a fan. Some of my prospect inquires turn out to be folks who need a simple, direct way to capture leads & deliver content. Lead Flows is ideal for these marketers & their prospects.
Great execution @dharmesh and team! One question: Is it possible to set it up for a range of pages? I want it to show up on all of my blog posts under a certain URL structure, but that doesn't appear to be possible right now. I use Ghost, BTW. I have a workaround in that I'm only putting the code on pages right now, but that limits my options if I want to try it elsewhere. Any help?
@shortformernie@dharmesh Hey Ernie! Under the Flow options, you can set specific pages for that flow to appear on and wild cards like Google.com/awesome/* work for making all pages under that wild card shoe the flow as well :)
One code for entire site, but page and directory level control for each flow ;)
@nicholasholland@dharmesh Excellent, just the answer I was looking for. You might want to clarify the language on that page a bit to emphasize that wildcards are accepted, because that isn't clear from a cursory glance. Thanks again!
@shay_redmond Awesome! I think I just got it installed. Are there any plans to allow a 1 Step signup (Invite and Form in one popup stage) instead of the 3 steps? Invite/form/thank you
@thomas_tomhawk_burningham always looking for ways to improve :) We are looking into some slight variants like being about to use the callout (1st) step of a lead flow to direct to another page but your suggestion is also worth digging into. We're going to be digging into the performance of each variant to validate their impact. We believe that the form as part of the first step is a little off-putting for people when they first see the lead flow, hence the callout is a primer before they interact. Stay tuned!
Also, you'll find out Shopify guide here if you need it: http://leadin.hubspot.com/knowle...
If you want to use Zapier with Leadin, here's what you do:
Send a Leadin alert email to Zavier's email parser.
Train the parser to understand the data locked in that email.
Send data to Slack, Salesforce or wherever you want.
@bntzio Hi Enrique! Thanks for the feedback :) We actually have a post for this on our Ideas Forum, I'd recommend giving it a thumbs up if you're interested in it and would like to keep up to date on it's progress. See here: http://ideas.hubspot.com/forums/...
Out of interest, how would you like them to integrate? For Leadin to push leads over to ConvertKit or for Leadin to collect submissions on the ConvertKit forms or both? Always interested in how we can improve the tool so any feedback you have is very appreciated!
@sammatla Hi Sam, good question, we actually have a post for this on our Ideas Forum and it's something that we may be able to tackle in the next few months. I'd definitely recommend adding a +1 to the post to stay in the loop on our progress: http://ideas.hubspot.com/forums/...
Cool free tool. How about letting visitors download eBooks via this pop up? Cdn't find how to..is it only via an autoresponder email connected to one of the providers? Also couldn't find how to create social links on the Thank you screen..
@palash76 now you're thinking :) This is actually something that we are working on at the moment. The Thank You step of lead flows has a lot of love coming it's way very soon and this is one of the features we're working to introduce, exactly.
@dharmesh Typo heads-up – in your intro paragraph, third word from the end:
"Lead Flows are a brand new all-in-one conversion pop-up from Leadin. Turn visitors into leads with the pop-up widget, then watch as Leadin automatically discovers more about them right in your contact timeline. Drive conversions, gather insights, and target site **visiors** - for free."
