Hi. Bill Barol here, the producer of HOME. In this first episode of Season 2, I break with format a little bit to tell a story that is about a home but isn't, strictly speaking, from L.A. It's about the process of unmaking a home after the death of a parent. (Mine.) I went back and forth on the propriety of telling this story, set in Philadelphia, on a podcast that lamag.com described only yesterday as a "SoCal-centric podcast for the ages" (thanks, you guys) -- but I figured that ultimately one of the prerogatives of being a one-man podcast shop is that you get to do anything you want. And also, as a reporter I just would have felt weird about leaving such rich, authentic material on the table.
