Hey Product Hunt I have been a friend of @etiennepinchon and I have been with the journey of Hologram from its idea stage 2-3 months back ! This 1.0 was made by him coding 24/7 in a span of 2-3 months by him alone ! Looking for ward to see a lot Stay tuned for more exciting tools coming up ! Their is gonna be a modular system to extend the Hologram.cool to any level ! It's not just gonna be limited to WebVR soon it will also support WebAR too so stay tuned ! And many more

Really like the style of your apps @etiennepinchon! But you should change your hologram logo before Snap is suing you ๐Ÿ™ˆ
Artwo
@kaiburghardt @etiennepinchon It's not just about the color. Your logo is very similar to the Snap Spectacles logo : https://www.spectacles.com/
Magnus Burton
@artwo @etiennepinchon yeah very similar to Spectacles. At first I thought this was a new product by Snap.
Amrith
@etiennepinchon @kaiburghardt I upvoted thinking Snap made this ๐Ÿ˜ถ๐Ÿ˜‚
Jeff Reiner
@kaiburghardt @etiennepinchon Get prepared for a cease and desist.... Your logo is so close to Specs youre gonna have an issue.
Jeff Reiner
@artwo @etiennepinchon @magnusburton And thats your biggest issue. You should change this asap.

I love this! This is amazing! Not sure why most of the conversation is about the logo, the product itself is just mind-blowingly good. It has almost a full 3d environment, import from sketch fab and other places and it exports a webVR scene with Aframe! This is a great tool to push webVR forward, and you deserve TONS of credit for building this!
Etienne Pinchon
@altryne Glad you like it! The v1 logo was looking similar to Spectacles by Snap, Inc. but this is from the past ;)
Comic-CONnor
Love the product, but like a lot of people are saying it looks just like the Spectacles logo:

Hey everyone! It's time to enter the next frontier. ๐Ÿ˜œ Hologram is a pioneer Desktop app that let you creating and prototype for WebVR in interactive and fun way. It requires no previous coding knowledge, so anybody can start design cool VR experiences. It only takes a few step. A few months ago, I launched Orbe.io๐Ÿ”ฎ then magixjs๐Ÿ’ซ which were both 2D oriented, I wasn't happy with it. I personally think 2D is getting boring... We need to level up! After a few other projects this year, I decided to go back to the "cool" stuff, things I truly enjoy building! I think WebVR is totally underrated but the community is simply brilliant and so friendly (๐Ÿ…ฐ๏ธAFrame people ๐Ÿ‘Œ)! The goal for Hologram is to lower the complexity of 3D/VR to a minimum while keeping the ability to expend as you do more with it. It has to be fun, life is too short guys! Also I wanted to go big this time, so you will get a tons of features right from the start like โ˜๏ธ Cloud or even โ˜„๏ธ Modules (physics, particles and more). Anyway, this one comes from the heart, hope you will enjoy it! Peace. โœŒ๏ธ hologram.cool Note for Windows people (because I am pretty sure somebody will ask at one point): It is exclusive to Mac at the moment, but Windows is on the way! Note for Framer people (because you guys are cool! ๐Ÿ˜Ž): Technically if you know Framer, you probably already know Hologram. It's that simple. Final note: Make sure to use a computer that can handle 3D. An old MacBook will not do the trick here.

@etiennepinchon looks amazing, stoked to dive in! Any export functionality so I can throw what I made into Unity?
Daniel Citrin
This is brilliant! But does that mean MagixJS is dead? I use it on the daily.
Etienne Pinchon
@deadlinegrind REALLY?? Dude!! I stopped the website the other day, but if you still use it, I will put it back on! :O
Daniel Citrin
@etiennepinchon Yea! It's incredibly useful for prototyping. I have all the documentation saved so I didn't even realize the site was gone. Although, I never could get the build function to work properly, as the outputted files wouldn't work in the browser. Thanks for your hard work!
Etienne Pinchon
@deadlinegrind All the docs are now on github! It's funny I thought nobody was using it anymore! I will try to put the website back on soon! I will also try to fix the NPM! Let me know if there is anything I can do!

Cool product. But prepare to get sued with this logo. Unless this is a black ops Snap Inc. project.
Joshua Dance
I thought this was a Snapchat product. I would be careful with that. :)
Linus Ekenstam
@joshdance - I guess that in a way is very impressive, that one person built something that is mistakenly mixed up with Snap. They should hire him, straight away. :-)
adam webber
Are you able to export? I don't see any export functionality other then sending it to your Hologram cloud account. If I wanted to export to use in other applications is that possible?
adam webber
I don't think Snapchat is the one with rights to the eyeball logo so they might not be in a position to defend it. http://www.businessinsider.com/s...

I'm so stoked to try this!!

Like the new logo, good job and smart decision!

really interesting

Would love to see this get an export to A-Frame feature.
