Hemingway Editor Plus is the fastest way to correct and clarify your writing. Using proprietary AI tools, it increases readability and fixes grammar issues, while still preserving your tone and style.
Hey all!
The original Hemingway Editor launched on Product Hunt more than a decade ago. Over the years, we've grown the app with feedback from this community. Now, we're so excited to bring you our biggest upgrade yet -- Hemingway Editor Plus. For the first time, Hemingway is supercharged with our proprietary AI tools. Now it can correct and clarify your writing with a single click.
From the beginning, we've tailored Hemingway Editor Plus to augment rather than replace human writers. Our goal is to make it easier for anyone to get their message across at a reading level that all can understand. So, we've designed the app to speed up the tedious aspects of editing while keeping your voice intact. Even as it simplifies wordy sentences, it preserves your tone, meaning, and word choice.
Alongside boosting readability, Hemingway Editor Plus also features an advanced grammar checker. It uses AI to highlight and correct even the trickiest errors. The result feels like having a real editor proofread your text for you.
This launch has been a labor of love and we're so excited to get Hemingway Editor Plus in your hands. Sign up today for a free 2-week trial (no credit card required) at https://hemingwayapp.com/hemingw... and try it out yourself. We'd love to hear what you think. Thanks, Adam & Ben Long
Congratulations on the launch! Is there any way to use this as part of some other writing apps? For example, as a Chrome extension or as a macOS plugin? Thanks.
So excited to see the advanced version of the Hemingway editor. I always head over to Hemingway when I'm only looking for simple writing suggestions and the readability score - never disappoints and does far better than "other tools." Thank you for launching this, I will definitely try my hands in the coming weeks.
@tanoy27 Glad to hear you've been enjoying Hemingway! When we first launched over 10 years ago, it was always our dream to have the app correct highlighted errors for you. It's been amazing to see what new tools AI can unlock for our users.
Chrome lacks your extension? Imagine editing across the web seamlessly. A missed opportunity for universal text enhancement. - this text was rephrased by Hemingway editor.
@anastasiia_stepko Yep! It's on our list. For now, we're focusing on Editor Plus on our web app and perfecting that before we expand to a Chrome Extension.
Wow, @adam_b_long, this is incredible! 🎉 Congrats on launching Hemingway Editor Plus! Can’t wait to try out the new AI features—sounds like a game changer for anyone who writes. Love how you guys are focused on keeping our unique voices while making editing easier. Definitely signing up for the free trial!
Just tried it! I love the UX! I found u also have a mac version, is there any difference between mac and web?
By the way, how can I make it sound less like AI?
@liu_alex1 Thanks! For AI, try out our "creative rephrase" tool. It finds more interesting ways to structure a sentence and uses more interesting word choice.
For the Mac/PC version — those are our older products, which don't yet have these AI features. We'll update those to use the AI eventually, but it'll be later this year. We're focusing on the Editor Plus AI on the web for now.
@salar__davari Great point. We test our models with a huge range of types of writing to make sure they're able to maintain the style and tone. You don't want to sound stuffy and formal when you're doing a social post for a hip company, for example.
Hey @adam_b_long
Hemingway Editor Plus is a smart tool that helps you write better. It finds mistakes in your writing and makes it easier to understand. It keeps your writing style the same while making it clearer.
Hi Adam,
Ever wondered about the accuracy of Hemingway Editor Plus when it's fixing up your writing? I mean, can it really nail the context and make your words sing like a native speaker? It's like asking if a robot can out-Hemingway Hemingway!
