Free live chat and in-app messenger by HelpCrunch is a perfect solution for early-stage startups and small businesses that want to communicate better with their customers.
Hi Product Hunters!
We’re excited to launch a 100% Free live chat & in-app messenger for you.
We’ve built it specifically for early-stage startups and small business owners to communicate better and faster with their customers.
As you may know, HelpCrunch is a complex customer communication platform combining a modern live chat, in-app messenger, email marketing automation, as well as a simple helpdesk (features like Knowledgebase and Chatbot are coming soon too).
But during the last 2 years of constantly talking to thousands of our users, we’ve noticed that some new businesses simply can’t afford and don’t need as many features as an all-in-one customer service software offers.
Thus, those users have to use free alternatives which are either poor looking or very limited in functionality.
We hope to serve that need with our free live chat - here are some of its highlights you may want to know about it:
- It is indeed 100% free forever! No need to upgrade to a paid plan if you don’t require additional functionality and you’re ok with some limitations on the free plan.
- Talk to your customers in real-time via live chat on your website
- Customize your live chat widget to suit your website style and brand
- Capture more leads with proactive messages
- Deeply integrate HelpCrunch with your product to send laser targeted marketing campaigns
- Communicate with your customers on the web and via mobile apps anywhere & anytime
Check out the free live chat and let me know your thoughts or questions in the comments below - we’ll be happy to answer those throughout the whole day.
By the way, if you need more advanced functionality beyond the free plan, check out our standard plan starting from just $15/mo.
@pavlo_pedenko Hey Pavlo! Intercom is a great software, but really overpriced. There're a lot of micro features that stand us apart from Intercom and you can also read through all the major distinctions by visiting this comparison page:
https://helpcrunch.com/intercom....
We have a considerable amount of customers that switched to us from Intercom, though frankly there're a few who switched from us to them. In the end of the day it's only up to you what to use for your support, marketing and sales. And the best way to make a decision is to give all the best options a try. This is also one of our goals providing a free version. You can still trial any of our paid plans for 14-days, but for some people it's not enough as we're all busy people, right? So you can start with the free version just to check the basics and then choose any paid plan that suits you best and try it for 14-days.
P.S. We actually support almost any custom scenario so don't hesitate to chat with us and ask for whatever you want 😉
I do like this product. It's easy to use, easy to set up and looks very nice. For me visual appearance is important and I'm totally satisfied. 10/10 ;)
Pros:
Cool design! Visual appearance is always an issue with such tools, but they coped with it ;)
Thanks mate! CaptainGrowth is a very nicely designed website and software so I really understand why the appearance is that important for you. And you're right about other tools with a very outdated design.
What I personally think is that the live chat is a face of a business. It's a tool where customers ask questions and get the 2nd impression about you and your brand (the 1st one is the website itself), so you can't afford installing a bad looking chat.
Great live chat solution, which we've been using and recommending to our clients. Fast and reliable, and in my opinion, better than the existing competition.
Hey hey, Denys! Thanks so much for being our valued partner and customer. We really proud of being useful to lots of businesses. I'm pretty sure we'll have a long-term beneficial cooperation. Cheers 🍺
Congrats on your launch, guys! We love your product.
Quick question - you mentioned that you'll be launching knowledge base and chatbot features soon.
Can you share the ETAs on those?
@ilya_azovtsev Thanks for the support and your question.
The ETA for Knowledge base and Chatbot functionality is Q4 2018 / Q1 2019 😉
We will keep you updated on those for sure
Hey @andrei_zinkevich - thanks for the great question.
Main differences between HelpCrunch paid plans and Intercom are the following:
- More affordable pricing: our packages start at $12/mo
- Billing: we charge per agent vs per active users which allows you to grow without your monthly bills growing like crazy
- Support: we provide a personal onboarding assistant to every user.
You can learn more about those and other differences of HelpCrunch vs Intercom here - https://helpcrunch.com/intercom....
Here is also a table highlighting the comparison of HelpCrunch's free package vs Drift vs other alternatives - https://helpcrunch.com/blog/help...
Hope this all was helpful 😉
@angur Oh that is so true! Our main goal and what we really believe in is conversational approach to support, marketing and sales. There're so many businesses out there right now and the only three ways to differentiate are: disruptive idea, business model and the SERVICE. You can actually do similar things your competitors do, but provide an outstanding communications throughout the whole lifetime journey of your customer, and this will definitely make your customer stick with your product.
@mykyta_shalagaiev Yeah, and we can provide you with a lot of other cool features in our paid plans as well, e.g. email automation. So feel free to check our basic free plan and you can switch to a 14-day trial for any plan whenever you need.
@yevgen_tsvetukhin Cool! Feel free to chat us if you need just any kind of assistance. Be sure we'll do our best to provide you with the outstanding support! 😇
@ruslan_doronichev HelpCrunch is not just the live chat for a website. It can act as in-app messenger as well. This means you can install it right inside your web service (for example SaaS) or inside your iOS/Android application.
We also provide manual emails right from the agent chat window, one-time email campaigns and automated triggered emails as well. You can also set up email forwarding so that all emails to your support or sales email addresses are automatically collected by HelpCrunch to provide a unified interface for all your chat an email correspondence with your customers.
On top of that we also provide a handy and simple to use helpdesk (aka CRM) so that you can manage all your multichannel communications better and efficiently with tags, statuses, notes etc.
P.S. As far as I know FB messenger requires your website visitors to connect their FB accounts before they chat with you. Not everyone wants to share this kind of information. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I've been using HelpCrunch for almost 6 months now. I switched over from Intercom because it was too expensive and it was getting out of hand as the number of users increased.
PROS:
Looks good (could've been better though)
The dashboard is easy to navigate
Proactive chats (Not perfect yet - messages are delayed by a few mins)
Chat support is quick and on point
AFFORDABLE!
CONS:
Proactive chat doesn't work perfectly fine (messages are not send immediately after the conditions are met) but gets the job done!
The chat UI/UX could be a bit better.
This is the closest I could get to Intercom for an affordable price. And their product and chat support are so good that I made an account on ProductHunt just to review this! 😊
@gaurav_rajput Hey Gaurav! Nice to see our customer here in comments. Be sure we'll take all your mentioned CONS into our account and will fix those. I've already forwarded this to our product team. May I know what exactly you don't like about the chat UI/UX. We want to bring it to the 'perfect' level and your feedback would be much appreciated.
@olegdomansky Hi Oleg, yes we do provide chat auto messages.
For website visitors you can use our Proactive Chat auto messages to invite them for a chat with you. In this case you can use a bunch of behavioral triggers, like time on the page, page URL, number of visits etc.
For your registered customers you can use our Targeted Chat auto messages for on-boarding, product announcements, upselling and cross-selling. In this case you can forward any custom attributes that you collect about your customers on your side and use those attributes to set up automated campaigns.
I hope this answers your question.
