Hey Oliver! This looks very cool :) Is support@headliner.app the best way to reach you?

I've been using Headliner for a couple of months now and have enjoyed using this unique video creation tool. I love the different types of audiograms as well as animated text videos that you can create with Headliner. I've created several videos myself and am happy to see regular updates that are being made.

Also, it's great to see that the Headliner team has been receptive to suggestions that I've made to improve the Headliner app even more. I've already seen many new updates that have gone into this video app since I started using the app.

It's especially great for podcasters, radio stations, music artists as well as for creating videos for social media. And best of all, it's completely free...thanks Headliner Team for an awesome video creation tool!

P.S: Here is my personal video review on the Headliner app based on my experience using it so far.

Pros:

Easy to use and create videos, step-by-step video creation, flexibility to create videos from scratch, regularly updated.

Cons:

It would be nice to have the ability to add an additional audio track (for background music) and be able to fade audio (in and out).

Oliver Wellington
Thanks Anthony - we will definitely be adding both of those features this Fall.

Just joined the site and guys, I'm very VERY impressed! We work with a lot of clients in managing their social media and one problem they often face is creating fast social content. Normally we have templates in After Effects or Premiere Pro but THIS is killer. Excited to see how this grows. Would be interested to maybe speak to you directly as well as I run feedsauce.com and we work with many brands and create their social content. Would be good to off-shoot them to your service somehow as well.

The video transcription feature by Headliner is but one of the awesome features they offer. Every day I turn my Alexa Flash Briefing into an audio gram that is also transcripted. Then, I can share it across multiple platforms. This app is phenomenal and I tell everyone I know I about it.

Pros:

This is the best app of 2018

Cons:

none

Headliner is essential to anyone who creates audio / video content. I use it to create clips from my podcast and videos which I can post to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Headliner is very well designed and offers a lot of nice features and elements. I'm surprised (and grateful) that Headliner is free!

Pros:

Completely free. No limits or premium features. You get it all!

Cons:

Line breaks for the transcription sometimes gets weird.

Dmitry Kompanets

Transcribed many of my interviews and video calls. Perfect!

Pros:

Straightforward UX, fast, correct

Cons:

Nothing to compare with

This looks like a great tool. Whilst YouTube viewers usually have their sound on for videos, on other social networks, studies have shown that a large percentage have their audio muted whilst watching/scrolling through videos on other networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. So being able to add these captions will add a whole new dynamic. The only area I can see this being an issue is where the video has a background music/song, as this would cause the system to struggle to pick up the voice correctly and provide accurate captions. Overall, a very exciting product and I look forward to trying it out.
Oliver Wellington
@productpearson That's spot on - the transcription works best when the voices are loud, clear, and ideally, isolated without background music.

Fantastic! This is very timely for us. We have just created 20 explainer videos for Octoboard and were giving them to voice over artists. I was trying to figure out how to make sure the artist gets the timing just right and how to count the number of words in each video. Now we have a perfect solution - simply loading our videos to Headliner, spelling out the texts and get immediate transcription - right on time! Thanks guys!

Pros:

Best way to generate transcripts for voice overs - great time saver!

Cons:

None. Couldn't find any!

Looks great, but I think the words roll out a bit too fast. Maybe have the words appear one by one for a more natural feel?
Oliver Wellington
@enjoythecode there are different word transitions you can choose, but yes, the speed of the words is something we are working to make customizable, as different people have different needs

New user. 2 days. So far simple video creation and transcripts. This is great. It is simple to use. Can't say more for now ... need a little more time to discover its full potential

It’s not hard work to do a transcription manually - listen, pause, make notes, add an inscription to the video. But if you do it much and often, it your videos are not only short, if you have to make many operations from image to sound and back, if you are concerned with different SM formats - Headliner is a perfect tool

Pros:

new level of productivity and creativity

Cons:

what about go to mobile?

Alexander Sysoenko
This is BTW is definitely a black swan for some big brothers both by distribution policy/business model versus ease of use/quality of results

Great application you have there! I'm totally intrigued by it! Will definitely give it a go, just a question, how many languages does Headliner support or what future languages you are expanding on? Will definitely love if it can support more languages or maybe even translation into other languages from one!
Oliver Wellington
@jmtiong the transcription supports the following languages: Afrikaans (South Africa) Amharic (Ethiopia) Armenian (Armenia) Azerbaijani (Azerbaijan) Indonesian (Indonesia) Malay (Malaysia) Bengali (Bangladesh) Bengali (India) Catalan (Spain) Czech (Czech Republic) Danish (Denmark) German (Germany) English (Australia) English (Canada) English (Ghana) English (United Kingdom) English (India) English (Ireland) English (Kenya) English (New Zealand) English (Nigeria) English (Philippines) English (South Africa) English (Tanzania) English (United States) Spanish (Argentina) Spanish (Bolivia) Spanish (Chile) Spanish (Colombia) Spanish (Costa Rica) Spanish (Ecuador) Spanish (El Salvador) Spanish (Spain) Spanish (United States) Spanish (Guatemala) Spanish (Honduras) Spanish (Mexico) Spanish (Nicaragua) Spanish (Panama) Spanish (Paraguay) Spanish (Peru) Spanish (Puerto Rico) Spanish (Dominican Republic) Spanish (Uruguay) Spanish (Venezuela) Basque (Spain) Filipino (Philippines) French (Canada) French (France) Galician (Spain) Georgian (Georgia) Gujarati (India) Croatian (Croatia) Zulu (South Africa) Icelandic (Iceland) Italian (Italy) Javanese (Indonesia) Kannada (India) Khmer (Cambodia) Lao (Laos) Latvian (Latvia) Lithuanian (Lithuania) Hungarian (Hungary) Malayalam (India) Marathi (India) Dutch (Netherlands) Nepali (Nepal) Norwegian Bokmål (Norway) Polish (Poland) Portuguese (Brazil) Portuguese (Portugal) Romanian (Romania) Sinhala (Sri Lanka) Slovak (Slovakia) Slovenian (Slovenia) Sundanese (Indonesia) Swahili (Tanzania) Swahili (Kenya) Finnish (Finland) Swedish (Sweden) Tamil (India) Tamil (Singapore) Tamil (Sri Lanka) Tamil (Malaysia) Telugu (India) Vietnamese (Vietnam) Turkish (Turkey) Urdu (Pakistan) Urdu (India) Greek (Greece) Bulgarian (Bulgaria) Russian (Russia) Serbian (Serbia) Ukrainian (Ukraine) Hebrew (Israel) Arabic (Israel) Arabic (Jordan) Arabic (United Arab Emirates) Arabic (Bahrain) Arabic (Algeria) Arabic (Saudi Arabia) Arabic (Iraq) Arabic (Kuwait) Arabic (Morocco) Arabic (Tunisia) Arabic (Oman) Arabic (State of Palestine) Arabic (Qatar) Arabic (Lebanon) Arabic (Egypt) Persian (Iran) Hindi (India) Thai (Thailand) Korean (South Korea) Chinese, Mandarin (Traditional, Taiwan) Chinese, Cantonese (Traditional, Hong Kong) Japanese (Japan) Chinese, Mandarin (Simplified, Hong Kong) Chinese, Mandarin (Simplified, China)

@jmtiong it'd be cool to do a translation feature too - some users have been doing that manually now, using google translate and then copy and pasting the translation in.
Jia Ming
@oliver_wellington thanks for the list! Ohh I see but I can't wait for it to have a translation feature! :D
Dmitry Kornyukhov
@jmtiong @oliver_wellington Heya, Oliver! Congrats on the launch! I think some would be awesome to add an option for professional translation too. For example, if you have users who do captions for their professional videos I think Google Translate is not always enough, so it would be cool if they could hire professional freelance translators from your app directly. That way your customers could an additional service without leaving the app and you could also earn a commission on providing this extra service. Just an idea. I hope you like it. :) By the way, we have a online community with 3000 professional translators so it would be cool if we could collaborate somehow on this feature in the future :)
