👋 Hi fellow hunters and huntees! I'm excited to hunt my own products 2nd launch today: (Habitually). https://habituallyimprove.app/ The Journey Habitually had a tough start to its life as a side project where its PMF was lacking and no apparent value for people. With valuable feedback from the Product Hunt community and early contributors, it has evolved into a tool that offers unmatched value. I have currently spent over 400 days journaling 200 actions/habits and tracking my well-being in Habitually. With my own experience leading to the optimising of Habitually to be as powerful as Excel but quicker and easier to operate. And all of this achieved in close to 5 minutes of usage daily. About Habitually Habitually is a Fast, Intuitive Journal & Well-being Tracker that is currently an Android Application. It enables you to journal your everyday life and track your wellbeing, creating new knowledge in how your lifestyle impacts your wellbeing. As well as creating the space for reflection on the life you are living and whether it meets your wants and expectations. New Logo I am undecided about changing the logo. What do you think about this as the new logo for Habitually? While it nods to the arrow style of the previous logo, it now features a caterpillar at the bottom and a butterfly at the point, symbolizing the journey of growth and evolution. Should I commit to this design? What's New in Habitually v2.0: The Re-Habit-ening
  • • Improved UI/UX: Completely reworked for use as a journal and wellbeing tracker on Android.
  • • Insights: Model the impact of your actions or habits on your behaviour. E.g. answering questions like Is more mugs of Coffee better for you? Or does drinking Coffee in the mornings better than later? New impact report feature. No longer simply showing charts but generating reports and statistics to tell you what is going on and giving as much context as possible.
  • • Smarter Machine Learning: Daily updates and UI feedback, balancing features based on their existence not just presence and absence. Meaning Habitually learns better and faster as you live.
  • • Customisation: A larger selection of colours for personalisation. And more UI elements taking on these personalisation’s e.g. chart colours.
  • • Reminders: Allowing for the choice of which days the reminders are sent on.
  • • Re-worked Charts: First all of your well-being data is now plotted in a single chart. All habit and action charts allow for you to view its records for any date quickly.
  • • Introspection of the Day: From a bank of questions they all look for encouraging rumination on not just what you wish to do but also the how and why.
Your Feedback Your feedback has been instrumental in shaping Habitually. From data ownership and opt-in encryption for data privacy to smarter UX/UI. Have an observation or idea? Don't hesitate to message me at: contact@habituallyimprove.app My Story (so far) The pivotal moment that sparked this journey occurred in 2022 when I filled my second journal. The thought of losing all these memories and daily reflections weighed heavily on me. I was captivated by the concept of a learning journal, where each day’s knowledge builds upon the previous, to be used in the present. After watching a video by Veritasium, I was inspired to bring this idea to life using Naïve Bayes in a journaling and well-being tracking app. Thus, Habitually was born. On reaching one year of Habitually from its MVP, I made a celebaratory post on r/dataisbeautiful. What soon became a particularily stressful experience as it garnered 2 million views and hundreds of comments within 48 hours. One benefit coming from the experience was finally realising the tangible value Habitually can offer to people. The first value is the sheer speed of using Habitually and its ability to integrate seamlessly into my life. The second value is the enhanced sense of accountability and awareness that comes with journaling inherently. This is only amplified by Habitually’s format, which allows for tracking almost every aspect of my day, be it exercise, people met, water intake, coffee or tea consumption, social media usage, work, or even the meta of developing Habitually itself. In fact, I wrote my first-ever blog post detailing all of this. You can read it here: https://habituallyimprove.app/iv... Revenue Despite being a part-time endeavour, with the majority of my focus on R&D to bring my vision to life, Habitually has managed to achieve notable sales. The challenge of building a personal project first and a home business second, particularly on a part-time basis, led to an overemphasis on development. This became apparent when I realized that I had been meticulously documenting my development journey, but had neglected marketing entirely. In fact, an entire year had passed without any marketing efforts. Recognizing this, I sought to reverse the trend by setting a target of initiating at least one marketing effort per week for Habitually. These efforts have resulted in surprising growth, particularly following a post on Reddit. Habitually operates without restrictions, with the free tier being supported by ads. Since my last update, it has averaged a MRR of $5, from ads alone. This, along with personal goals and usage, demonstrates the potential of Habitually as a part-time venture catering to a niche market that I have now identified. Welcome Offers for New Habitually Users For the first 14 days of using Habitually, there are some deals: 20% off on the Lifetime Subscription 1/2 Month Free on the Monthly Subscription 6 Months Free on the Annual Subscription These offers are valid only for the first 14 days, so don’t miss out! Thanks for reading :) Feel free to reach me at contact@habituallyimprove.app I spent a year making something that I liked, and I'm excited to improve Habitually for everyone.

💎 Pixel perfection
@habituallyram Congratulations on your launch! I love the data focus of Habitually. And the insights. Just on the logo - I like the butterfly and worm. To reduce clutter maybe removing the circle behind this could help? Wishing you success on your launch! 🐛🦋
Ram Attra
Thanks @jade_grimwood It looks like a vote for the new logo. Good spot on it being cluttered, will look to remove or alter that circle to simplify things and bring more focus to the 🐛🦋. BTW love your use of them, will definitely be using that occasionally.

Hi Ram! I love the concept of "Year in Pixels". I've always wanted to try it out on paper but never had enough patience. Do you plan to add a feature for connecting wearable devices to your app? For example, my Garmin watch measures my stress level. I would love to see my "Year in Pixels" in terms of stress.
Ram Attra
Thanks @anastasiia_stepko My 5y plan for Habitually would contain plenty of API access to as many services. It's an awesome question really as I would have to begin separating information like stress from say steps. So that the well-being dashboard stays relevant and the actual journal/log only has what you are doing. Do you know whether apis categorise information into e.g activities and persons current state?
Anastasiia Stepko
@habituallyram Yes, this is a brilliant idea to separate mental health-related info from physical health. Yup, apis can do that.
Shushant Lakhyani
This would surely help people track if they're living their life to the fullest or not
Ram Attra
I agree @shushant_lakhyani , tough question tbh. I believe most people don't remember a large chunk of what makes up their day to begin with. So Habitually can come in and begin to record a persons history of their day as they track it. The reflection or ruminations from those two theoretical people will mostly likely show in the well-being they record so the insights of Habitually would begin to aid both in finding their ideal lifestyle after some experimentation.

Congrats on the launch! Love you work and the story behind it. I like the customisation feature which most of the products lack in this product category.
Ram Attra
Thank You @mekyal_amiri really kind, words. As you are showing an interest in visuals, do you mind giving your opinion on the UI on show or in the app? Thanks😊
Milli Sen
Congrats on the launch 🎉 Awesome story and tool! Good Luck 💪
Ram Attra
Thanks, and thank-you for sending some luck @millisen. This second launch has been far more successful, this is the most downloads my app has seen ever. I've learnt a lot in making the marketing materials and have received feedback to improve the website and onboarding which is amazing.

Congratulations on the 2nd launch of Habitually! It's so inspiring to see how your journey from a side project to a valuable tool has evolved with the help of the Product Hunt community. The new features in Habitually v2.0 sound impressive, especially the insights feature, and smarter machine learning. BTW, I really like the new logo. Wishing you success with Habitually! 👏
Ram Attra
Cheers @max_kamyshev Thanks for reading all that. Glad Habitually is conveying value now.
Michael Vandi
Great work! @habituallyram been looking for something like this
Ram Attra
Thanks Michael . What would be the first thing you would want Habitually to do today? What 4 things could you wait for?

Congrats on the launch 🚀. This is a great way to help people stay accountable with their goals
Ram Attra
Love that you have used accountability. I've still got a lot of work to do but I'm sure I'll get lots of feedback from the launch. As I've found there is almost two types of accountability one is compassionate and the other is self-loathing. So keeping Habitually positive is key for making it a much happier and nicer experience.
Hamidreza Khoshvaghti
Congrats on launching your version2.0! The new features and improved UI/UX look fantastic. I love the idea of introspection questions and smarter machine learning!

This tool would definitely aid people in assessing if they're living life to the fullest. I admire your work.
Ram Attra
First thanks, your admiration is greatly appreciated. Second that's a good point that I never really thought about. My goal was to always have the 3 macro goals of happier (mental), healthier (health) and community (social). Be the focal point of each day instead of e.g. drink x amount of water or you have to do x minutes of cardio. I want Habitually to encourage self-love compassion instead of loathing or overly critiquing everything in their lives. That is the end goal atleast maybe I'll have to collaborate with behaviour and physcology professionals to get there.
