👋 Hi Product Hunt! I’m Bijoy, the maker of Guitar Wiz.

I’ve been building music apps for iOS for over a decade, but Guitar Wiz is by far the most ambitious project I’ve worked on. It started life years ago as a simple chord library (GtrLib Chords), and has now grown into a complete all-in-one companion for guitarists of all levels.

🎸 What is Guitar Wiz?

It’s an app that puts everything a guitarist needs in one place:

• A massive chord library (with all positions, inversions, and fingerings)

• Built-in tuner and metronome

• Tools like Chord Assist, Reverse Chord Finder, Song Sheet Scanner

• Chord Collections to learn songs faster

• Song Maker with chord progressions, guitar, bass, and drum backing

• Widgets, Live Activities, and even Siri Shortcuts for quick access

💡 Why I built it

As a guitarist, I was always searching for a truly comprehensive chord reference - something that could show me every possible position of a chord across the entire fretboard, complete with audio previews of how each one actually sounds. Nothing I found felt complete or fluid enough, so I decided to build it myself.

Over time, this vision expanded. I realized I didn’t just want a chord library - I wanted an all-in-one companion that would save me from constantly jumping between different apps, tabs, and websites for practice, songwriting, or quick references. That’s how Guitar Wiz grew to include additional tools like a tuner, metronome, chord assist, reverse chord finder, song sheet scanner, and more. It’s designed for beginners, hobbyists, and even pros who want a reliable and accessible guitar companion in one clean experience.

✨ What makes it special

• Designed with the new Liquid Glass design language of iOS 26 for a fresh, modern look (will be available on day 1 of iOS 26 release)

• Accessibility is a priority (e.g., blind users can read chord diagrams with VoiceOver)

• Built by a solo indie dev who’s also a musician 🎶
  

🚀 What’s next

I’m working on expanding the library further with more references (scales, modes etc.) and adding more creative tools for songwriters.
