Guava Tags are your shortcut to health tracking. Stick it on any item. Tap it with your phone to log your meds, coffee, water, activities, and more. Customizable via your Guava account.
đ Thanks for checking out Guava Tags, our latest physical product at Guava! Whether you're tracking your daily meds, staying hydrated, or logging symptoms, Guava Tags make health tracking as effortless as a simple tap. Your taps can then be automatically turned into health insights, so you can see how your daily habits, like caffeine consumption, are impacting your symptoms, sleep, and more.
This all started as a side project of our engineer, @awadirathu, who wanted to keep track of his hydration but didnât want to have to click buttons in an app. So, he turned it into a magical one-tap experience â just like tap-to-pay at the grocery store â and made personal use of it for two years. Over that time, more and more Guava users began to rely on our suite of health logging capabilities, and it became clear that the one-tap experience could be a game changer. Today, this functionality is available to everyone, with support for most logging types Guava already supports, including totally custom types like âCuddled with kittensâ.
Weâre very excited to see how people make use of Guava Tags. Feel free to post videos of your setup and tag us on your social media of choice, tag us, and weâll give your account a free Premium upgrade for one year. Use the code TAGSPH for 20% off your Guava tag order!
We're a community-centric tool, so your feedback means a lot to us. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, or experiencesâletâs make health tracking a breeze together! đ
@antonikozelski thank you for the kind words! It was super fun to see @awadirathu side project from a couple years ago turn into a fully-fledged, accessible-everywhere, product!
Hey Isabel,
The concept of using physical tags for health tracking is interesting. I'm curious about the longevity of these tags - how durable are they, and can they be easily replaced if damaged or lost?
Are there any plans to expand beyond health tracking to other areas of life?
Congrats on the launch!
hey @kyrylosilin!
The Guava Tags are pretty durable - they are water resistant work on metal, and so far, no one one the team has had any issues with them! Regarding expanding to other areas of life -- Guava Tags are pretty customizable so you can use them to track what's important to you, or things you're interested in Guava helping you find correlations with using Guava Insights. For example, members of our team use Guava Tags to log when they play video games, When they do yoga, When they do laundry, and yes, when they cuddle with kittens :)
Love the tag concept, I always find the idea of logging data manually and things quite boring, but this seems interesting. I'll check it out. Congrats on the launch @isabelstewart đ¤
hey @ali_eskandari! Yes, i've totally been there with logging fatigue. Guava tags make it fit into your day so much easier, because there isn't a disruption of "let me open my phone, find an app and log" and instead it's "let me tap the thing i'm currently using" and that's it! It's also great because with more data, Guava can discover more correlations for you, like coffee and mood, or sauna and sleep, etc.!
Awesome to see the journey of Guava Tags from a side project to a product! Great job, @awadirathu and the whole team! This one-tap feature is exactly what we need for seamless health tracking. Can't wait to try it out! đˇď¸
It's fascinating to see physical tags in a world that's increasingly digital. Tracking health is so important, and Guava looks really impressive. Congratulations to you @isabelstewart and your entire team, wishing you all the best on your journey ahead!
@shiva_tejasvi It is really cool to see the physical and digital worlds blend together with guava tags! Looking forward to you checking them out and providing feedback!
@travis_hannah Guava tags will work with any phone that has background NFC scanning capabilities, which started being commonplace in new phones around 5-7 years ago, so most current devices will work.
Apple: iPhone XS and newer
Google: Pixel 2 and newer
Samsung: Galaxy S8 and newer
Awesome launch, @awadirathu and the Guava team! The one-tap feature sounds like a real game changer for keeping track of health habits, especially when juggling multiple tasks. Health tracking can be a hassle, but making it effortless opens up so many possibilities for users to engage with their wellness. I'm particularly excited about the customizable optionsââCuddled with kittensâ is a hilarious but totally valid logging type! đ Looking forward to seeing how the community uses Guava Tags and sharing my experiences. Keep up the fantastic work, @isabelstewart!
@dance17219 Can totally be a hassle, and feel like a chore. The Guava Tags make it super simple, and honestly, kind of fun. I feel satisfied when i tap the guava tag i put on my water bottle after I finish it to keep track of my hydration. I love the feedback loop! Looking forward to seeing your comments
I've been wanting something like this for a while. I went through a period where I tried to track everything but eventually gave up because it was too much work. This product seems like it would make doing so feasible.
@ismaila_adamu The tags are fully customizable, so you can set them up to track anything you want! We provide stickers to put on top of the tags to distinguish them from each other (e.g. water, meds, activity icons), but you can also put your own stickers on top to distinguish them too.
This will make tracking my health inputs so much easier. Pulling my phone out all the time and navigating to different apps to input food, water, meds, exercise gets to be a chore. This will make it much easier to be habitual about it and collect enough data to get insights.
@alexanderscottwilliams Us too! We love Guava tags because all you have to do is tap a tag and go on with your day. It's especially great on 'brain foggy' days. It makes it easy to track your health, and with Guava insights, discover relevant correlations, significantly easier. Let us know what you think! We're quick to respond to feedback, and love hearing from the community on how we can make the experience better :)
Thereâs so much to track when it comes to health, so I really like how Guava simplifies everything into quick taps. đAppreciate how it turns all that data into insights without much effort. Really looking forward to trying it out!đ
@isabellarosewilson There really can be SO MUCH to track when it comes to health. I personally love having the Guava Tags since they act as visual cues to track things. And because it's done with just a tap of the phone, it's super simple :). I use it to track my morning meds, my PT exercises, and my water for the most part, but I know others use it to easily tap to log when they're having a flare up, or a migraine, or to log their mood, bowel movements, and showers. It's pretty customizable to fit user needs.
I'm really impressed with Guava Tags! Itâs great to see how @awadirathu turned a personal project into a practical tool for the community. The ability to log various activities with just a tap feels like a huge step forward in health tracking. Can't wait to see how it can transform my daily routine! The customizable options are a bonus tooâwho wouldn't want to track "Cuddled with kittens"? đ Excited to give this a shot and explore the insights it provides!
@ema_elisi Thank you for the comment! I think we'd all love to have the data on how different things impact our health (like cuddling with kittens or cold showers) but it's tedious to have to manually log it. Guava already syncs data from your wearable and medical devices, so Guava Tags are there to fill in the gaps for things that don't get tracked automatically by those devices. Please let us know if you have any feedback after using them!
It's a super handy way to stay on top of health tracking without needing to constantly input data. I especially like the idea of sticking it on everyday items I already use. My question is that Does it support integrations with other health apps or services?
@emma_rac Yes! Guava is integrated with top fitness devices and apps like Fitbit, Garmin, Oura, Withings, and aggregators like Apple Health, Health Connect (see https://guavahealth.com/supporte...), so a lot of data types can be automatically synced without you need to track it manually (e.g. sleep, heart rate, steps, activity). You can use the tags to track things that are harder for fitness devices to track like mood, food, symptoms, meds, and so on. With this data, Guava will then run correlations across them to help you find corrections so you can see how your lifestyle affects your health metrics in different ways!
You can also sync your medical records from patient portals or upload PDFs of your lab results and we'll run correlations on that too (e.g. how your lifestyle affects your biomarkers)
The concept of simply tapping to log daily health activities is really smart. I can see this being great for us who struggles with keeping up with their health habits.
@has__san Glad you think so too! We designed it for those with accessibility issues in mind, whether that be dexterity issues, brain fog, or just plain forgetfulness, so we're looking forward to seeing how it changes people's health tracking habits.
Hey Thanks @zulkarnaim! It's been a super fun team project! We got to involve the community in the process, too, to make sure the Guava Tags were flexible in function enough to fit their lifestyle and needs! looking forward to you trying it out and giving feedback!
