Filter bubbles impair our ability to communicate with others and threaten our sense of reality. However, many people don't know they are in one! Blindspotter analyzes your news interactions on Twitter and lets you know if you have a blindspot, left or right.

@harleen Thanks! :) How do you assign 'bias rating' to news sources - is there a vote? or its someone's personal call? or an algo? And can you give an example of your "benchmark" 100% right / left sources please? - CURIOUS!

Not all interactions on Twitter are equal. Does the tool take into consideration that people are more likely to like something than they are to tweet it?

@juliateasdale absolutely, you are right. We give different weightage to each interaction. See the weights in our Methodology, link in my comment. "We place the following weights on interactions with news content: liked (1), tweeted (2), retweeted (1.5), quoted (1.45), replied (1.85)."
