Hi everyone! One of the makers here – we're really excited to get Live Translate out the door. There's clearly a lot of action going on in the live chat space – we're thrilled to see so much innovation. Live Translate has been born out of requests from many of our customers who want to deliver a great level of service to their customers around the world, without having to hire staff to speak every language of every region they serve. As we've been saying for a long time – every visitor to your website is a potential lead, so don't make language a barrier for them to get in touch. Live Translate uses the Google Translate API to ensure tip-top accuracy in translating messages between your team and your visitors, leads, and customers. We really hope you like it!

Any plans to integrate the translation features into existing chat platforms such as Intercom? Switching to a new chat client can be daunting for established business and there is likely to be pushback of a switch vs an integration into an existing platform.

While we're big fans of a lot of the other chat tools out there, we're very much focused on building our own and rolling out more features like this to our own platform. We totally appreciate that switching to GoSquared might be daunting so we wouldn't want to pressure you to do that – we'll welcome you with open arms if you want to try us out in the future :-)

Cool! Just wondering if you notify the user that replies are translated rather than the agent being an actual native speaker? That way there'd be no issues with false friends etc when translations go wrong.
