Hi there! James from GoSquared here. Before you say it – yes. Another day, another chat tool on ProductHunt. We know we're not the first, but we've wanted to build a live chat product for years at GoSquared – to be the perfect compliment to our analytics platform. Live Chat is nice and simple, and you can enable it with just a few clicks if you're already using GoSquared for analytics. We've got lots of plans for the development of the product, but right now we've focused on making it really easy to talk to visitors – you can see one continuous thread of conversation from the moment they first hit your site, to becoming a user, to becoming a customer. Live Chat is still in beta so you can use it for free, and we intend to have a free tier of service once we're out of beta too. @smalter Cheers Walter! Yes it's certainly a busy space – much like the analytics world too. Our stance has always been to try to cut through as much clutter as possible, and make something as simple as possible for businesses to use. The GoSquared platform is not just about live chat though – it's about putting one code snippet / SDK into your app and switching on a suite of fully integrated tools as you need them. All simple, easy-to-learn, affordable tools, that are there to help make running your business that little bit simpler. Hope that helps!

@matejkramny hi Matej, we intend to keep pricing affordable for you to start with, and will have a generous free tier to ensure you don't need to worry about paying early on. We also intend to allow for unlimited "seats" so your whole team can be involved, just like the rest of the GoSquared platform.

This said, if i may ask, the 'generous free tier' is 1K and i just installed on our test page and refreshed the page couple of times (no other visitors) and now your system shows predicted 5,299 data points *way above free 1K* and the lowest paid bracket is $29.99. Collaborate please. Thanks tons!

Huge fan. We've been using the beta for the past couple months and it's been incredibly helpful, not only for engaging new visitors but also providing support for our customers. The team have been quick to respond to our own support queries, and have even launched a feature we'd find useful – not bad at all! The iOS app is essential too, allowing us to engage leads and customers outside of office hours, when the majority of our market are active. For something that takes seconds to install and starts returning results instantly, I couldn't recommend it more. Big ups, props, and other good tidings to @jamesjgill and @hughhopkins!

It seems that for a long time live chat has been used primarily for customer service, but more and more we're seeing it used at the top of the funnel to assist in conversions and pre-sales. Lots more to come on the apps too ;-) Thanks again sir!

We've been super happy beta users of this - impressed with the team and their quick progress. I think the key is how it helps in conjunction to People Analytics and the power you have there. Definitely 10x better experience getting started and using it than anything else we've tried, and we did try them all over time. Keep up the good work James and team!

We too are using this at EmailOctopus, we're only a small team so can't always be manning it but the times we have used it it's so great to be able to see exactly what actions have been carried out as they chat with you. Saves lots of back and forth questions, and can only improve the users experience

Love using the analytics in GoSquared, invaluable for seeing drop-off points, checking certain processes work. And you're all VERY helpful with support :) Would love to know what you have planned for the chat. It's a really great tool for member notifications/in-app messaging. Would be cool to be able to use tagging, and a way of easily searching for certain pages visited... Thanks!

The world of live chat is a busy place, as I'm sure you know :-) Every product has its own focus and set of features that are best suited to a specific set of customers. What we've realised is there's a lot of businesses out there who don't use _any_ live chat or analytics tools at all. We're just trying to make the best platform we can with the functionality our customers are crying out for, and make it as simple and as beautiful as we can. We started with analytics, and live chat is a great add-on our customers can enable in just one click. All-in-all I'd sum it up in one word: simplicity.
