Gist AI was born out of our own frustrations with the existing solutions for content summarization. We aimed to create a one-stop solution that efficiently summarizes everything — be it articles, YouTube videos, or PDFs — and saves you some valuable time each day. Gist AI is designed to be intuitive, so you can instantly hit the ground running.
My personal favorite 🙈 is that now I can summarize long PDFs for free. Let us know what your favorite feature in Gist AI is?

Creating Gist AI as a standalone app is a promising idea for the near future. We initially made it an extension to offer real-time summaries while users browse or watch YouTube. However, a standalone app could offer broader features and reach more users.

I came to know about this product while searching for chrome plugin that can help summarise the pdf/text file. I instantly jumped out to check it. The product worked flawlessly and helped me achieve what I wanted with some tweaking and adjustments in the prompt.
Its a good product to use especially if you want to extract the summary and responses based on your local files.

Gist AI sounds like a really cool tool! I totally understand the struggle of trying to find good summarization tools. Sometimes the summaries just aren't detailed enough and you have to go back and read the whole thing again.

Congratulations for the launch! Are you planning to the link it with other note/memo tools like Notion, Evernote, etc. Sounds very useful for people trying to Build a Second Brain.

We are aware that the content in the 'Read More' section is in the same language as that of the original article. But we totally agree that if the user changes the language, then that part should also be translated. Great suggestion! We will definitely incorporate it in future versions.
