Will the Era of ‘Developer Management Agencies’ for Solo App Makers Arrive?
Hey PH community! 👋
I’m prototyping a new platform that curates portfolios of complete apps—think “Behance for apps”—and connects individual creators with companies or individuals seeking to commission projects.
With the advent of powerful no-code tools and AI-driven prototyping, solo developers can now ship end-to-end products without large teams.
This could evolve into “developer management agencies” that represent solo creators, manage client engagements, and handle branding and contracts—similar to Toptal or Andela but focused on individual app makers.
Questions:
1. Would you use a gallery of live app demos and screenshots to find and hire solo developers?
2. What filters or metadata (e.g., category, tech stack, user ratings, live preview) would be most helpful?
3. Have you used any similar platforms—either for portfolios like Behance or developer profiles like Arc.dev—and what worked or failed?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and feature suggestions to shape this platform—thanks for any feedback! 🙏

I think its a good idea but just thinking aloud - how would it be different from a category on upworks or similar platforms?
The only question that ignited me to join this conversation is what is your USP ?
