What’s the real deal with PH launches? 🚀
Hey Product Hunt crew! 😄
I’m wondering if launching on PH is worth it and could use your take. I’ve heard super mixed vibes, some folks call it a game-changer, others say it’s a hassle.
What did your PH launch bring you? Traffic, early adopters, solid feedback, or surprises like media shoutouts?
What challenges did you hit, like spam or weak conversions?
And what kinds of tools does PH work best for (e.g., SaaS, B2C, dev tools)?
I’m all ears for your stories, wins, and lessons learned.
Thanks for the wisdom! 🙌
Inès.

you won't know until you try! everything depends on product and prep
@rudi_bokowski Haha now I have even more questions! Have you ever launched on PH yourself?

I think for SaaS or tools that solve a common/general need, Product Hunt is great. The type of people that are on the platform are typically not going to be the end user, but if the launch goes well, it is a great way for outlets/newsletters/groups to learn about you.
Especially if you are looking to launch with a limited budget, Product Hunt and reddit are honestly great! Just keep in mind you have to hustle a little more here.
@elissa_craig Thanks for the insight! 😄 When you say “hustle a little more” on Product Hunt, what do you mean exactly? Like, engaging with comments, reaching out to communities, or something else? Any specific tips or examples from your launch?

@ines_billieres all the above really! That and direct reach outs on LinkedIn have proven effective on PH. You really need to consider getting plugged into Product Hunt to build your audience well ahead of a launch.
