What’s one mindset shift that helped you grow (in work or life)?
When I first started in marketing, I used to wait for the perfect moment.
The perfect design.
The perfect words.
The perfect timing.
I would hold back on launching campaigns, sending emails, even sharing my thoughts, because I felt things weren’t ready yet.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
>Perfection slows you down.
>Getting things out there, learning, and improving along the way—that’s what really helps you grow.
Since then, I’ve embraced this mindset:
Done is better than perfect.
What about you?
What’s one mindset shift that helped you move forward in work or life?

I would say that for me – it was the changing environment that helped me to grow.
It feels like many things depend on a strong network, and then, when you have the right people in the pocket, you can dothe impossible.
@busmark_w_nika company matter!
My mindset has always been: nobody starts perfect, but with time and practice, we can become great.
Whether it’s cooking, writing, or playing video games, progress comes with consistency and patience.
@eljo_prifti 100% agreed :)

@jerryton yeah right, focusing on the few things that drive results always beats doing everything at once.
For me, three things.
Be patient
Step by Step
Consistency
To a degree yes! Not rushed, not quick, but well done....⚡️
@light_silver Yeah, I feel you on that. It’s not about rushing things; it’s about building something solid that actually works. But sometimes we think too much after putting in our 100% in that case (done is better than perfect :)). Thanks for sharing your take; I appreciate your input approach.

'Slow down to speed up' - At times when I feel like I'm trying to do many things at once but not making any real progress, remind myself to slow down, pick one thing and just make it happen. I've found that it helps unblock me by putting me in a state of flow and i'm able to get back to the other things and power through them too.
@ragsontherockssometimes it also happens to me :(

Learning to observe
@malithmcrdev Love that. I think it's a cycle; once we learn to observe better, we start picking up things we didn’t even know we were missing. And that’s where real growth begins.
I resonate with that a lot! Not so long ago, I found myself re-reading written emails or texts dozens of times before sending them (even the causal ones) when in reality, it probably wasn't really that serious. Perfectionism wastes a lot of time.
My fundamental mindset shift happened after experiencing what it's like to be a loser as a high school athlete. Instead of blaming others or circumstances, I learned to take responsibility of everything and little by little, I started winning. That experience of being a loser has stuck with me all my life. A loss is a valuable lesson.
Hamza, your mindset shift is key. For me, the big shift was moving from simply processing information to connecting concepts and patterns more deeply. Understanding that knowledge isn't static, but a constantly expanding and reconfiguring network. That "connection" is my way of growing.
Thanks for sharing this, Hamza! I completely agree—waiting for perfection often leads to missed opportunities. One mindset shift that helped me was embracing the idea of “progress over perfection.” Focusing on consistent small steps and learning from each experience has been key to my growth. It’s empowering to realize that every iteration brings you closer to your goals, even if it’s not flawless from the start. Looking forward to hearing others’ perspectives too!
