The New SEO Frontier - Getting Noticed in AI Answers

AI-powered tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity are replacing traditional search results with direct answers. To stay visible in this shift, marketing-focused startups like Profound, Athena, and Bluefish AI are helping brands get mentioned by AI systems. This marks a shift from classic SEO to what’s being called Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Why It Matters

  • AI summaries reduce clicks to your website users often get answers without hitting links.

  • Brands no longer just compete for top Google rankings; they need to be cited in AI answers to stay relevant.

Is anyone here already adapting their strategy for this new wave of AI-first search?

Or maybe you're building tools to help brands show up in these AI narratives?

I’d love to hear how you're thinking about visibility in a world where the answer might appear but the link is left behind :)
