I feel like careers have a different definition than they used to. Before you would become good at something and your whole career would be that. Now things ebb and flow, you need to be both good in something specific but think wide enough to be able to work with various stakeholders. Plus there are many more opportunities of career hopping nowadays so you can always re-skill and try something new

I think people are gradually expanding their careers to blogs and YouTube these days. and these things have low barriers to entry
