Is AI video editing finally ready for everyday creators?

Let’s be honest—most AI video tools are still too complicated or just don’t live up to the hype. Why is it still so tough for creators and marketers to make quick, simple edits? Most tools are built for pros, and AI videos often feel a bit off. We kept hearing: “Why can’t I just make a fast explainer or a talking avatar without a studio?”

That’s what we want to change:

  • Instantly create videos from text prompts

  • Bring blogs, courses, and social posts to life with talking avatars

  • Experiment and storyboard easily—not just edit

With Veo 3’s launch and its ability to generate cinematic video from just a few lines of text, it’s clear AI video is evolving fast. But these advances also show how much we need user-friendly tools for quick, everyday work—we needed something like this ourselves!

AI isn’t perfect yet, and there are still open questions. But we believe making videos should be easy—and even fun—for everyone.

We’re getting ready to launch soon and would love your thoughts!

*By the way, Tila isn’t just about video and image generation—it’s a platform for all kinds of multimodal content, powered by different neural networks.

  • What’s your biggest headache with video editing?

  • Would you trust AI to help tell your story?

  • What would actually make video creation enjoyable for you?

Drop your thoughts below—your feedback will help shape what we’re building!

Launching soon!

Veo also falls short. Really need simplistic tools.

Headache is multiple prompts but needle not moving as much...as if one was trying to explain rocket science :)

I would only try something that is heavily recommended by friends.

@manu_goel2 agreed 🙌🏽

@manu_goel2 Totally agreed, Veo is not useful, at least not yet, because of its 8 seconds cap.

I have tested the paid version of Kiling AI, great for bite-sized clips but capped at just 10 seconds. And VEO’s outputs are similarly short, around 8 seconds. Does your tool offer more flexibility? Can it generate videos anywhere up to 60 seconds? That length range is really important for TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

@hamza_afzal_butt Totally agreed! Tila integrates various video generators (Kling, MiniMax, Luma) with agents that can combine video clips to make longer ones (although, we the initial length of each clip is the same as in original models, the agent can just make several parts of video and merge them). Advanced editing features like sound overlays are still in development, but they're definitely on our roadmap. We're aiming for a future where you just describe what you need, and agents handle everything from generation to final edits without you switching between tools. Thanks for highlighting this!

I have been experimenting with AI tools to create short, fun cat videos for TikTok, but most of them are either too complicated or don’t quite capture the playful vibe I’m going for. I’m not looking for studio-level edits, just something that lets me upload clips, add auto-captions, maybe a voiceover or filter, and wrap it up in minutes. If your tool can make that process simple, smooth, and fun, I’d definitely be a regular user.

Of course! Here’s a friendly, thoughtful Product Hunt comment reply in English, directly addressing the questions and showing appreciation, with emojis:

This is exactly what the creator community needs! 🎉 Video editing tools are often way too complex, especially for those of us who just want to make quick explainers or engaging social content—without the headache. My biggest pain point is definitely the clunky interfaces and the endless export times. If I could just type what I want and see it come to life, that would be a total game-changer! 🚀

Honestly, I’d love to trust AI more for storytelling, but it has to “get” my tone and brand style. If Tila can help me keep things personal and not feel too robotic, I’d absolutely use it for my projects. What would make video creation enjoyable? Instant previews, easy tweaking, and the ability to mix different content types (like images, text, and audio) all in one place—plus a super intuitive UI would be amazing! 🤩

Really excited to see how Tila evolves. Thanks for listening to creators and building something truly helpful! Can’t wait to try it out!

I have been experimenting with many tools in this space like CastMagic, SubMagic, Veed, etc. Looking forward to this!
