How will AI videos change the movie industry?

A few days ago, I read an article stating that influencers receive more attention on the red carpet compared to traditional actors.

Then, I came across a video demonstrating how Hollywood movies with enormous budgets can be replicated with minimal costs.

What does this mean for the movie industry?

Will we see more emerging talents creating outstanding films simply because they are skilled in using AI?

As influencers seem to be replacing actors, could ordinary people with AI skills start to replace Hollywood studios?

I began to speculate on the possibilities:

– Oscars for the best AI-created movies

– Oscars for the best AI actors and AI music compositions

– AI agents responsible for creating and managing films

– Guaranteed immortality for already famous actors (for those who agree to have their appearance used). Revenue sharing between AI production companies and the descendants of these actors.

How do you see it?

I don't see how high-quality live-action-like movies could be generated completely with current AI.

What is the best that you have seen?

@konrad_sx I think that it was advertisement short spot but really do not know how to find it on YouTube. Anyway I think that if people pay attention to creation AI videos, and improving the processes, it can achieve a very high quality and nothing is impossible.

I can totally see how AI will have a bigger role in movie industry not far in the future, but for now, it's just a speculation, I still have doubts that AI can make better movies though.. AI might have cost way less, but I always feels that something is missing.

@rani_zagita With the pace how it evolves (and nothing interrupts the development) it can be possible. Take for example Avatar. More graphics than humans. So AI can make it too.

@busmark_w_nika I can totally see it coming, the video AI made is quite flawless. But, of course, I believe it will be more powerful if it's a combination of AI and experienced actor & production crew.

You are right. The AI is evolving day by day. We'll see these live actions within a decade.

I still occasionally watch Charlie Chaplin's black-and-white silent films to relax and have a good laugh. Meanwhile, movies like Transformers and Fast & Furious are almost entirely forgotten. This somewhat explains why movies need more than just visual effects —— they also require strong storytelling and an emotional core.
