When we launched, social didn’t really drive much traction — at least not right away. Still showing up and staying consistent, but curious:
Did social media make a real difference for your launch? Or did your momentum come from somewhere else?
Can’t say specifically about launch but socials do help as they work in the background… irrespective of whether you get likes or not. I have had strong positives eg on LinkedIn
@manu_goel2 That’s a great point — the quiet impressions do add up over time. We launched SmartDial recently and didn’t see immediate traction from socials, but now seeing some trickle effects, especially from staying active on LinkedIn. Curious how long it took before you noticed real momentum?
When you post long-term e.g. in buildinpublic groups on Twitter, you can "earn" popularity and people are more likely to support you because of "collegiality".
When you run ads on social media with a good creative, you can potentially reach a broader audience.
Sharing 2 or 3 posts with no prior effort makes them weak.
My two cents: Build a community, regardless of whether you launch something or not, make friends, and you will find support. :)
@busmark_w_nika Totally agree Nika — we’ve seen firsthand how just dropping a few posts doesn’t move the needle. For us, we launched first, then started showing up on social… kinda backwards 😅 But now realizing the real value is in the consistency and relationships. Curious — how long did it take before your efforts started to pay off?
@abe_qarm "we launched first, then started showing up on social… kinda backwards 😅" :DD I love this sentence :D
To be honest, I started almost 3 years ago, and I feel like this is a never-ending story. But people started noticing me after almost 6 months of continuous showing.

It depends on how you use it.
