Have you ever had to “kill” a feature you loved?

As we approach launch day, I’ve been reflecting on all the little things that didn’t make it into our final product.

You know, the feature you loved, but it just didn’t fit the timeline, budget, or experience.

Maybe it broke something else. Maybe it confused people.

Maybe your team just outvoted you 😅

So I wanted to ask:

Have you ever had to kill a feature you truly believed in?

What was it — and why did it have to go?

I’d love to hear how others handled that tradeoff. For us, it hurt a little… but the product is probably better for it.
