Does your company hire international profiles or prefer to keep it local mostly?

My company is very international and we've benefit highly from diverse perspective, global market understanding & different culture. But as a small company we also ended up spending a lot of time on admin process and making sure everyone understand the local law. What do you guys think about this? And how does your company handle it? :)
