Does Product of the Day still make sense for your product exposure?

I am a newcomer to Product Hunt, searching for answers to questions that many other newcomers might find interesting. Every day a product deserves to be the Product of the Day BUT to find the results of this achievement is another challenge... Unfortunately, there are only a few insights I have gained through this forum. So please, if you are a winner of the Product of the Day (or your product is on the top of the list), please share.

How much traffic did you acquire and how did it impact your growth?

My insight: The products that were launched during the weekends are less likely to get the Product of the Week and even not possible to get the Product of the Month.

@busmark_w_nika Hi Nika! just out of curiosity, do you have any experience and if so, can you please share your case?

Nika

@theonebroker In what sense is it meant? Like whether the PH badge matters? Or whether the first position on the PH page matters on the leaderboard during the launch day?

@busmark_w_nika In particular, did the first position on the PH page on the leaderboard on launch day matter and how was it measured by real KPIs?

How much traffic did you get to the site?

How many leads did you generate?

Were you noticed by VC (venture capital)?

Nika

@theonebroker I think that the PH badge is more known in the B2B tech sector. When I ask "ordinary" people from B2C, the platform is an untapped water for them.

When you are in the first position in the leaderboard, of course, you will get a lot of traffic (people are curious why you are so interesting that you are on the top of the website).

In my case, I had some purchases, but not so significant. It differs. Some people have purchases, some do not. One guy was approached by angel investors. Actually the guy I had an interview with (Alex):

@busmark_w_nika Thank you for sharing!

The information I managed to find in open sources is quite contradictory. So, for making the prior results calculation and ROMI on this resource, I would suggest to prepare positive and realistic scenarios. Here are some of the findings:

  1. Products reaching the bottom of the front page can expect over 2,000 unique visitors on launch day

  2. Products hitting the #1 spot can gain over 10,000 unique visitors

@busmark_w_nika As far as I know, Product Hunt only allows you to upload materials in advance but does not let you pre-publish of the Product. You can schedule your Launch in coming soon section but not pre-publish either. Meanwhile, self-promotion section of this forum could be a solution to present The One Trading App to the PH community. Have you had this experience?
