Do you struggle with speaking English or preparing for job interviews? Need your thoughts!
Hey everyone! ,
I’ve been noticing that many people find it tough to speak English fluently—especially during job interviews or in professional settings.
I’m thinking about building an AI-powered app that could help with:
Random 1-on-1 audio chats so you can practice speaking with real people.
AI-driven mock interviews that analyze your resume and ask job-related questions.
Real-time feedback on pronunciation, fluency, and confidence.
I’d love to know:
Do you struggle with this?
What’s your biggest challenge while speaking English?
If an AI tool could help, what feature would you want most?
I’m not selling anything, just trying to see if this is a real problem worth solving. Would really appreciate your thoughts!

I don't have a problem with English, but now I have a problem with Spanish. I think I could use your suggestions.

I am not a native English speaker, and I continually maintain the habit of speaking English due to the demands of my job.
The scenarios in which I use English will involve English paperwork, business English speaking.
I often substitute the grammar of my native language in the speaking scenarios. Most of the time people can understand me clearly, but I think my expressions are often long and complicated.
It would help me a lot if the speaking assistant could talk to me in the scenarios, listen to my answers and provide me with optimized answers. That would help me a lot.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Lesley! Your point about business English and grammar substitution is insightful. I’m actively working on an MVP that will include scenario-based conversations and AI-driven feedback on expressions. The waitlist will be live soon—would love to keep you updated!
There are tons of platforms these days,
but I think it’s worth focusing on why speaking English is still hard for so many people.
Honestly, I’d love to have an AI that chats with me and helps fix my grammar as I go!

That’s a great perspective, Kay! English learning platforms exist, but making AI more interactive and adaptive is something I want to focus on. The idea of an AI that chats and corrects grammar in real time is definitely on my radar. MVP development is in progress, and I’ll be launching the waitlist soon. Stay tuned!
My biggest challenge in speaking English is that I would worry too much about whether my grammar is correct, which makes me lack confidence. If there were an AI tool, I hope it could help create various conversational environments, such as daily life and workplace scenarios.

I totally get that, Feliciana! Confidence and grammar worries are major challenges. The goal is to create AI-driven casual conversations that feel natural and help users gain confidence over time. I’m currently working on the MVP and will launch the waitlist soon—would love to hear your thoughts when it's live!

I think that random chats with native speakers would be fun but for more serious practice I would use AI (Why not)
Many people are afraid of speaking, they are afraid of making mistakes but when you have a convo with AI, it is less personal but it can still be educational.
+ you can do something like visual tests: AI will show you a picture, you pronounce it loudly, and AI will correct you.

Love your idea, Nika! Random AI chats + pronunciation correction through visual tests sounds like a powerful combo. I’m exploring ways to integrate interactive and engaging learning methods in the MVP. The waitlist will be up soon—excited to share updates with you!
As a native Indonesian speaker, I’m pretty proud of being almost fluent in English (my second language) and decent in Chinese too! 🎯 My secret? Binge-watching English series and blasting English music daily—though I’ve hit a snag: barely anyone around me speaks English casually anymore, so my conversational practice is basically zero. 😅
Interviews? Ugh. Nerves turn my brain into buffering mode—‘cat got my tongue’ (is that even the right idiom?!). Your AI tool sounds like a lifesaver! Real-time pronunciation/grammar feedback would be 🔥, but I’d also kill for a feature that teaches commonly used idioms and updated slangs (so I don’t sound like a textbook from 2005).
P.S. Random 1-on-1 audio chats? YES. Please. 🙏
