I follow a morning and evening ritual.
In morning i would sit down and write down everything that comes to my head. The whole day I would focus on closing them.
In evening I would summarize the day and carry forward the pending tasks to next day.
I also use ticktick to manage pending items.
I usually don't make a plan for my daily personal life, but when it comes to work life, I always make a weekly to-do plan in case I can track what I've been working on lately.
It is very important to even schedule the week ahead when possible (I know sometimes it can be hard).
It is important to take a grasp ahead on how you are spending your time, maximize your focus time so you can balance between your work and personal life.
Try to use time blocks as much as possible and to have dedicated meetings days , or block of times as much as possible. For example you can have a no meeting monday and no meeting friday so you can get actual things done and optimize focus.
