Hi Björn, Gems sounds like the assistant we've all been dreaming of!
Love how it taps into multiple tools to provide a personalized response. I'm particularly intrigued by the 'synthesize knowledge' feature - how does it handle complex contextual scenarios?
@bjorn_gustavson concretely how are embeddings generated then retrieved in a privacy preserving way? For example are you embedding user data on device, storing only vectors on pinecone & then retrieving the original based on a pointer to the local data - or are you sending the unencrypted data to the cloud, embedding there & then storing both the embedded vector + original data & returning that into the LLM?
If I connect my Gmail for example, would like to know exactly how all those emails are processed, stored & who might have access to view the original data contained within them.
Very cool! This feels a bit like Zapier for your mind. I've ditched folders/organization on my computer for a simple "type to find" approach, and this is exactly like that - just across multiple apps, and with a summarized report at the end. Brilliant idea.
The idea of having my own AI knowledge assistant that not only answers my questions but also knows me really well is just outright fascinating. Does this include OCR recognition of content within images?
@bjorn_gustavson Sometimes I might take screenshots of great products, or certain information in articles is presented in the form of charts. I sometimes forget to add text descriptions to the text on these images, which makes it less convenient for me to find them later.
Your launch is absolutely amazing! Our team is thrilled, and we're wishing you the best as your project embarks on its stellar journey. Just raced to Twitter to join your followers!
